This isn’t just about me anymore. I’ve seen what’s happening to children and to other people in similar programs, and it’s wrong. Georgia is known for trafficking, and yet no one wants to talk about how deep it runs. I’m speaking out because I believe in doing what’s right, even if no one believes me right now. All it takes is one person to listen — one person to do something — and maybe that person will be the one who finally helps.
I normally don’t write reviews like this, but my experience living at Clarkson Station Apartments under Pathsco Management needs to be shared — especially for families, veterans, or anyone considering moving here.
I lived at Clarkson Station for about three years. At first, I had very few issues besides noticing suspicious and illegal activity around the property.
When I had my child, I was told I’d be moved into a new apartment, but the one I was given wasn’t the same as what was listed on paper or what I was told beforehand. The apartment had major maintenance problems — big holes in the bathroom wall, visible water damage, a window that came completely off, and an air conditioning unit that was missing the front and bottom cover, which made my bills skyrocket. Even though I reported these issues and they were clearly visible, somehow the apartment passed inspection.
Over time, I also noticed disturbing activity involving children around the complex. I reported what I saw to the manager, and she told me straight to my face that she already knew about it — but nothing was ever done. That’s when things took a scary turn. After speaking out, I started being harassed, both by people around the complex and by law enforcement. One night I was drugged, and the same night all the usual cameras and lights that captured regular activity just happened to be off. When I called for help, the police didn’t act like they were there to protect me. They even tried to get me to leave my baby with someone I didn’t know, claiming the person was a “godparent.”
From there, the harassment continued — false accusations, no response to maintenance requests, and constant confusion about my rent account. At one point, I was told I owed money even though I had already paid, and when I checked, it looked like they were moving money in and out of my account to make it appear that I was behind. This all happened while my HUD-VASH caseworker (supposed to help veterans like me) looked the other way and sided with management.
Eventually, the situation became unsafe. I was afraid for my life and for my child. My credit and rental history were damaged even though I did everything by the book. Every time I tried to file a complaint or get a report, no one would give me a number or record of it. Clarkston Police, DeKalb County, and the management company all acted like they didn’t know anything or couldn’t help — even though I had proof.
This experience destroyed my sense of safety and trust in the system that’s supposed to protect veterans and families. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. The complex looks fine on the outside, but behind the scenes, it’s chaos — poor management, shady activity, and zero accountability.
If you’re a parent, veteran, or anyone who values your peace of mind, please think twice before moving here or dealing with this management company. I hope by sharing my story, it helps others avoid what I went through and encourages someone, somewhere, to start looking deeper into what’s really happening in that area.
I have different versions with more info but this was the only one that fit.
