  Roaches Roaches Roaches I don’t live like that and as of 10/5 I’m still battling. Afraid to cook because a roach will appear on the counter, in the microwave, on the stove out of nowhere. Yes Management had tried to addresss the issue but a New Resident have never walked into a unit in this condition.

  This is just my first week experience but let me list out the ways this was a terrible move in experience: 1. 5 Doors... YES 5 DOORS are either not sized properly at all for the frames meaning they cannot close or function as doors or pose safety and security risks. 2. Whoever did the carpets did a sloppy job and just did not vacuum it up because I see the edges peeking up along the wall and there is carpet bits EVERYWHERE. Luckily it seems to be coming up with a good vacuum every once in a while. Also beware of nails and screws in the carpet. I've found about 3 so far. 3. They did not have keys for both the apartment or mail box ready and now its approaching a week of me not being able to check my mail whatsoever. At least there are pros: 1. Comfy apartment. 2. Good AC. 3. Quiet Neighborhood where most just kinda keep to themselves. UPDATE: Has been nearly a month now and we now have a leak!!! Also NO ONE has come to even look at the doors. I really suggest you look elsewhere if you want an apartment complex that treats you and your matters with urgency and care.

  If I could give less than one star I would just for how rude one of their office people Edwin is. It was great until I moved out. I was not informed of multiple charges when I moved in so I had to fight them upon moving out of this place early. I knew I would have to pay the lease break fee of $2,000 though and I did so as soon as the paper work came in. Well it had been a bit since I sent the check out so I decided to check the tracking number, because I'm not about to send a check for $2,000 to Lansing, MI without being informed that it was received by the intended party, well tracking said it was an attempted delivery, but there was no safe spot to leave it and it was at the post office now. I decided to call Benson Estates and ask them about it and was unfortunately graced with talking to Edwin. Edwin tells me that I need to reschedule delivery for business hours even though the original delivery was for business hours, then proceeds to tell me it needs to be changed and not be certified mail. For one they should probably hire people who have common sense because once it's sent as certified its stuck that way unless I recall it and what idiot sends almost $2,000 through the mail with no way of tracking it. He also informed me if it wasn't done within 7 days my bill would go to collections. For one by the time I get it back and resend it then it would already be in collections. I was told no one could go pick it up from the post office either because it wasn't feasible for the current situation with COVID-19, but yet they want this $2,000 so bad that is sitting at their post office which is open because they are considered essential. Oh and last, but not least Edwin suggested I just wrote another check and send it out because it goes into collections soon if not. Well thats great Edwin, but sending out a second check for $2,000 not in certified mail is not an option especially when the first one I wrote is still out there. Save yourself the trouble and don't rent from these people they lack a basic education as well as common sense.
