It’s my first time living off campus and The Verge has been a wonderful experience thus far. It’s a perfect distance away from UCF, the buses are always on time, and it is overall a friendly environment. Most importantly, I would like to highlight my favorite staff member, Danielle! She made the moving in process so easy and pleasant. My needs and concerns were prioritized and she dedicated her time, energy, and put in so much effort to make sure everything went smoothly. Truly went above and beyond. She is always present, active, and quick to help. The absolute sweetest, so easy to talk to! 😊

The apartment complex is very close to UCF and has shuttle to and from the school. Very convenient for students. The facility is good with a clubhouse for activities such as fitness, recreation, study tables and computer room. The apartments vary from 4 bedrooms to studios. As with any complex, there are always issues such as maintenance, cleanliness and neighbors. The key is to keep your home clean and advice management if there are issues. The management tries to assist as much as possible. It is best exemplified by Danielle, who works at the leasing office. I see that she tries to help the residents to her best ability. Danielle is professional and courteous, which is very comforting for a resident knowing you have someone from management tending to their needs. Overall, a decent place.

The amenities are very nice and the kitchens are super spacious. I lived here as my first apartment August 2023-July 2024. Though in reality I didn't start living there until September because of a crazy circumstance. My experience was pretty bad at first because they had taken out the entire outside wall in my building due to water damage from a hurricane. On move-in day, I was texting my soon-to-be roommates and one of them asked how I would be able to move in without a wall. I called The Verge and they told me "We were just about to call you about this" which was their catchphrase apparently.
So I couldn't move in on the intended move-in date because of the construction which they had been working on for a month at that point so there was no reason not to notify me before move-in day. They set me up with a hotel room that they paid for and waived the first month of rent (which was appreciated) but kept telling me I could move in in a couple of days. I ended up staying at the hotel for a little over 2 weeks. Then I had to deal with incredibly loud construction on the exterior of the wall for a few months which constantly disrupted my sleep. There was also definitely mold in my apartment.
The leasing staff was very nice and knew me by name but they were horrible at communicating. If something ever happened like a water shut-off (which they are supposed to give notice for) I would call them after noticing the issue and they would always say "We were just about to call you about this". Obviously that was never the case because I always got to them first. They also advertise as a gated community but the gates were always open after they failed to fix them. The key fobs used to get into the amenities like the pool and clubhouse apparently were no longer manufactured so half of the community just didn't have them. The staff kept saying they would change the locks within the month and the whole time I lived there I could never unlock the amenities and always had to grab a staff member or hope someone would let me in.
Again, the actual place was fairly nice (except for mold) but the management and maintenance were slacking on their duties and made living there a headache.
