- PCPatrick CatezoneAug 28, 20251.0AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! I don’t even know where to begin. When I was searching for apartments in Jacksonville, I ended up at Lake Lofts. I originally wanted an apartment on the 3rd floor, but management mysteriously told me it wasn’t available and pushed me into unit 408 on the 4th floor. They pressured me into signing the lease, claiming “someone else was about to take it,” which was clearly a lie. Within the first month, it became obvious the apartment was infested with roaches. By the second month, I realized the entire complex had a major roach problem—you could see them crawling in the hallways. Exterminators came, but it didn’t matter since the roaches were clearly in the plumbing. They would crawl up through my sink and leave droppings everywhere. Disgusting! (See the attached photo for proof.) To make things worse, after I moved out, they refused to return my security deposit because my 60-day notice was two days late. I lived in that filthy, roach-infested apartment for a year, and they still had the nerve to keep my deposit. DO NOT LIVE HERE.
