I had the opportunity to reside at the complex for a year, and it had its challenges, to say the least but, overall, it was okay. First, I would like to express the dog park could be better. It seems to me most places are "pet friendly" but do not provide efficient accommodations for residents with pets or support animals. Secondly, I would have loved to see the property staff live on-site with the ability to help after-hours. I lost my apt key while jogging and had to pay $150 for a locksmith, then to turn around and pay an additional $30 for "damaging" the lock, even though this is required by the property to call a locksmith after hours. I would also like to bring up an incident that occurred with another resident's dog. Everyone was aware of this dog's behavior and temperament. The dog was a rescue and very aggressive. The dog slipped its leash and bit my dog, causing me to pay $300 for EMER vet services. When made aware, the leasing office did not take action or provide any resolution, to my knowledge, to address the issue. This dog was considered a restricted breed that was allowed to stay at the property regardless of its aggressive behavior. In response to my emails with the staff, I was told "you can do what is best for you". This was not only unprofessional, but the response also lacked empathy for the situation. Also, when I initially moved in, that same night, there was a leak from upstairs coming into my apt. I called to EMER maintenance line and did not receive any assistance even though that was considered an emergency based on the documentation provided to me. I will acknowledge when I went to the office, the issue was addressed and handle in a timely manner. Unfortunately, I cannot excuse the fact that the water damage to my apartment was simply covered up with paint and considered "resolved". I inquired about moving units and I was advised I would have to pay a unit transfer fee and the current market price for the apt. I ask as a company to do better because that could have resulted in major health issues or even death. Lastly, the electric/sewer company has to the be the biggest scam. My utility bill was always $120 or more, even without the use of my 2-in-1 w/d. I'd strongly encourage everyone to get an apt without the washer and dryer because it takes 6-8 hrs to wash a single load of laundry when you can go down the street, spend $20, and be done in 1.5 hrs. I occupied my apt for 4 days into October and was charged $150 for water and sewer, which was the equivalent to an entire month. Don't count on getting your deposit back because they will find a reason to keep it. I'd recommend this complex to someone who doesn't have children, pets, or is elderly. The number of rocks around the complex is concerning. One wrong move and you could trip or break something. A positive light that I am appreciative of is when I needed a few days to pay rent due to me having surgery, the leasing agent worked with me, and I was able to pay it without getting evicted. Also, you have a sense of security with the police station across the street. It's pretty quiet and kept clean at all times. All in all, this complex is okay, but it needs work. This review isn't in any order. This is just me expressing how my stay went. I don't write this to discourage anyone, but I would be doing everyone a disservice if I was not forthcoming with this.
