- EHElizabeth HoffmannOct 31, 20251.0Stay away from Southby's, Old Lyme. While some good agents may exist there and Beth Cote the manager is a gem, not so for the "A" team consisting of Allyson Cotton and Liz Squillacote who I started with. I then switched to Jessica Blancato, who was no better. I have bought and sold a total of 7 homes and have had very smooth transactions working with agents from William Raveis, Coldwell Banker, REMAX, and Country Living. So it never occurred to me that realtors could be so awful until I worked with these three from Sotheby's, Old Lyme. While they do work for 2 1/2 percent commission, (as many agents do,) the unnecessary stress created, arrogant attitude, and lack of care resulted in an awful experience for me. Seller/buyer beware!
