We have lived at Enclave for 2 years now. Before this new management company took over, we loved it. I can’t say the same for after. Our lease was going to be up on my due date. We wanted a two bedroom apartment, so we asked if we could move to one. When they gave us the final charges/price to move, it was INSANE. It was more than we paid to move in to begin with. When we went to the office to ask how they had gotten that number; she couldn’t figure it out. We sat there for 10 minutes while the lady tried adding everything up and it just “wasn’t adding up.” My husband then did the math from the fee sheet she had shown us and was also going off of, and he was getting the same number she was, and it wasn’t anywhere close to the price they told us it would be to move. From that moment on, they were SUPER shady, so we decided to suck it up and stay in our 1b/1b apartment. One month, we had gone to the mountains, and rent didn’t show up until the evening of the second. We had paid the rent the afternoon of the 3rd, and the morning of the 4th when we got home, we had a notice on our door that we had missed rent and we had so much time to pay it or they were essentially going to kick us out. Due to a server error, our rent didn’t go through. When I went to talk to Tricia, she was beyond rude, and told me that rent shows up on 28th of the month, and we have until the 3rd. NEVER in the 2 years of living here has it shown up before the 1st, so I said my peace and walked out. This was the first time this has ever happenied, but man they were ready to kick us out INSTANTLY. They couldn’t (or wouldn’t) unlock our account to pay it online, so instead I had to get a cashiers check and add an extra fee to it for being late. Any time I’ve gone into the office, Tricia has since avoided me at all costs. When it was time to renew our lease, we got an offer that was again.. insanely high ($400). They blamed it on being copied and pasted and that was our month to month rent and she’d fix it. When we got the new offer, it was still wrong with the move out dates and rent would be going up almost $100 without the extra fees. Anytime I’ve brought up their mistakes for how much they are overcharging, they get super shady and try to go around their “mistake.” They are definitely scam artists and I feel awful for the people they trick that don’t figure out themselves that they are overcharging. Due to loud upstairs neighbors who we made complaints about MULTIPLE times and nothing changing, no amenities, and overpriced common area fees, we decided to move. They have so many employee days, no one answers the phones, the office is always closed for something, and the maintenance workers just drive around all day listening to music or sitting in the parking lot chit-chatting. They take forever to get requests done, even if it’s somewhat of an emergency.. but that’s another story. I wouldn’t wish this complex on my worst enemy.. we have had 5-6 neighbors/units move out the past few months, because of how awful this place and management has been. Would highly suggest moving somewhere that gives you actual amenities and doesn’t try to scam you.
