  This was one of the worst Airbnb experiences I’ve had, especially for a long-term stay. I booked this listing for 30+ days while relocating for work. Within the first unit (Unit 201), we encountered a roach infestation. Multiple roaches were seen over consecutive days, including near our food, which forced us to throw away groceries due to contamination. Despite reporting this immediately, no extermination or inspection ever took place. We were then moved to a second unit (Unit 303), where on the first night we found a bug crawling on the bed sheets along with stained sheets and towels. At that point, we could not even sleep in the bed and had to use the couch. This means we experienced pest and hygiene issues in two separate units in the same property. While management eventually acknowledged the situation, the response was slow and reactive, and the issues should never have occurred in the first place, especially for a long-term stay. Cleanliness, pest control, and communication were not handled at an acceptable standard. If you are sensitive to hygiene issues or planning an extended stay, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

  This place is a nightmare! Horrible! As much as it looks beautiful it is hell to live here!You will hear every movement—even your neighbors’ breathing—and the noise will be so unbearable that you’ll curse yourself for making this choice. Managment does not care and do nothing to stop it. Please do not rent it, especially for a long term.

  Loving the events that the staff have been throwing! Today is a margarita day, and last week we were invited to a pool party at their villa Carlotta property. The amenities have been really nice. Love the living space.

  After a less than desirable stay at another complex in Hollywood, I found The James on Airbnb while looking for a long-term stay in the Hollywood area. I've been here for a little over a week now, and I'm absolutely loving it. The building and apartment are beautiful and clean, you can tell that everything has recently been renovated and redecorated. My unit is a studio, but very spacious and has everything I need for my long stay. The main room is a large open space including a king-size bed, a desk, a couch, and a large TV. The room is very well decorated, the bed is comfortable, and the large windows provide a lot of natural light. The apartment also has a bathroom with full tub/shower, a walk-in closet, and a large kitchen that is stocked with all of the basics equipment you need. There is a mail room, gym, and laundry in the basement, and a gated parking lot for an extra fee if needed. The property manager is super nice and helpful and has been quick to respond whenever I've had a question. Overall, the building is beautiful, clean, quiet, and safe. It feels like you're staying in a boutique hotel, but still comfortable enough to feel like home away from home. Highly recommend if you need a place to stay in Hollywood.
