I lived at Scottsdale 59 for two years (Building C; 1 bedroom; 2nd floor) and had a great experience. The location is excellent, the community is quiet, and the grounds are always clean and well maintained. The office staff was consistently professional, compassionate, and accommodating, and maintenance requests were handled quickly. Covered parking was also a big plus. The gym and pool access are 24 hours, in unit w/d, gas ranges, good water pressure, filtered water machine, were an added bonus. I often work late nights/over nights, never had security issues coming home and walking my dogs. For the animal parents, there is a dog park & plenty of space in the community and the neighborhood behind the complex to walk the fur babies. There is plenty of lush grass to help easily adjust your pup to the desert landscapes, or ground yourself, if you’re moving into town from greener states (I have one picky pup 🙂so it made a difference)
I truly enjoyed living here and would highly recommend it.
My assigned parking was in the back (off of Tangerine) so it made it easily accessible to Indian School (Arcadia/Old Town) & Thomas Roads.
These 5 stars are for Alex and Margarito on the maintenance team. First, Alex replaced our kitchen light that had gone out with a new one. He helped me choose the perfect color temperature to brighten our kitchen. Next, he fixed a leaky faucet our bathtub. Margarito helped him with this. They were both knowledgeable, courteous, and professional.

I had to leave my old apartment complex due to some issues and was able to come here within two weeks. All of the staff are wonderful and very accommodating. Willow was the agent that helped me move in and find the perfect place. I have been here since September and all the maintenance issues were fixed within 2 days. They have a lot of great amenities as well. It's in a perfect location if you are outdoorsy with Papago park, the canal, and camelback mountain only 3 miles away at most.
I’m 40 years old and have lived in apartments my entire life, and I can honestly say this is the worst place I’ve ever lived. To start, the building has an asbestos ceiling they conveniently avoid mentioning upfront—they only include it in the leasing contract and hope you won’t notice.
The hot water situation is equally unacceptable. Whether I’ll have hot water for a shower is a complete coin toss, and this has been an ongoing issue for months. Maintenance will “fix” it, but the water ends up lukewarm at best, and a few months later the problem returns. I’ve repeatedly had to ask for basic hot water.
Last winter, my heater stopped working entirely. I didn’t even bother reporting it because, even when it did work, it only blew air that barely warmed the apartment. I had to rely on a heated floor pad and heavy clothing just to stay comfortable.
The air ducts are filthy, which is disappointing but unfortunately not surprising given how old the building is. On top of that, I had to deep-clean all the appliances when I moved in because the dishwasher was disgusting.
I could list more issues, but these are the major ones. Based on my experience, I would never recommend this place to anyone.
