I've been living in my 2-bedroom apartment on the West side of the community for almost a year now, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience so far. With my lease renewal around the corner, I’m already planning to renew!
One of the biggest highlights for me has been the responsiveness and friendliness of both the Maintenance and Leasing Team. Over the past year, I’ve submitted a few work orders — from a broken screen on my patio sliding door, to a leaking A/C unit. Every request was handled within 24 hours, and most were resolved within just 12! Most recently, I noticed a few small beetles in my home with the seasonal weather shift (first floor perks), and after submitting a pest control request to the Leasing Team, their vendor was at my door just two days later (goodbye beetles!).
Beyond the excellent service, the amenities and location were what originally drew me to Denim. The multiple pools, pickleball courts, and access to the Green Belt are all amazing perks. Being so close to the bars and restaurants of Old Town Scottsdale makes it even better. I loooooove being able to walk or bike to everything.
As someone who works in the Property Management industry myself, I can confidently say that Denim is doing things right. It’s not easy to find a community that checks all the boxes, but Denim has done that for me. I’ve truly enjoyed living here and look forward to continuing to call it home! <3

I truly cannot warn any future resident ENOUGH to avoid this complex at all cost. You may see some of the cheaper prices in scottsdale and think “this is so affordable”. Unfortunately, this is a place where you get LESS THAN what you pay for.
I have lived in various styles of apartment housing (including various forms of college apartments and houses) - and I have never experienced such low quality housing!
In the past year we have submitted no less than fifty (5-0 people!!!!) - maintenance requests. And not a SINGLE one was a small issue.
We have had everything from broken washer and dryer, our water heater exploding and flooding our unit and downstairs neighbors, our bedroom ceiling FALLING IN WHILE WE SLEPT during a normal spring rain (not even a monsoon), our ceiling falling in in our living room, our AC breaking, our AC leaking buckets of water, our dishwasher exploding, our garbage disposal breaking, our sinks leaking in both bathrooms and the kitchen, our shower being sickeningly full of mold that was caulked into the glass paneling and painted over on the walls, our closet doors falling on top of us when we opened our closet, our front door code breaking often (no keys, so that is the only way to enter)…. This isn’t even half of it.
When I approached the office after most of these issues above had occurred, I approached with a calm demeanor and simply asked for some compensation to cover the damage to my bed frame, nightstands, rugs, other things affected by flooding, ceiling falling in, etc…
The office workers became VERY abrasive, and brought out their older woman manager (she is very unkind and difficult) - and essentially told me that because maintenance had come that we had no basis to complain and deserved no compensation. After going back and forth, I left in tears with the promise of a 100$ amex gift card (that I never received).
Besides the maintenance issues, this complex is just dirty and run down across the board! The concrete stairs leading up to our second floor unit were cracked and wobbly. outdoor lights are literally overflowing with bugs and mold, the pools aren’t maintained well (besides the main one near the office), the gyms are clearly not cleaned often…. Etc.
This complex was also made VERY poorly. If my neighbors are even just conversationally chatting, (below or to the side of me) - you can hear every word! The doors to enter feel like they are made of plywood from Lowes, the walls are clearly painted over dust, dirt, grime. Everything about this place is just LOW quality.
Living in this apartment has genuinely impacted my physical and mental health so incredibly poorly. I fear every day about what is going to break next, I worry going to work every day that I will come home and something will be flooded and ruined, I have been counting down the days until my lease is up.
I do want to shout out Brian, the head of maintenance. He was always prompt and kind (the only person on staff who was this way).
Finally, I will say, there are plenty of nicer apartments nearby with comparable prices! You can even look on Zillow and find condos & such for similar prices. Please if you are considering this place, look elsewhere - no one deserves to live through the HELL that has been this lease period.
