Charges were applied that I believe were inappropriate, and despite my efforts to resolve the issue professionally and in good faith — including paying what I genuinely owed and formally disputing the rest — my account was still turned over to a collection law firm. This felt unnecessary and excessive, especially considering my long-term tenancy and proactive communication. If you're considering living here, be sure to document everything thoroughly and keep records of all correspondence, that's what saved me.

They would turn off the water, claiming they were working on the pipes, but wouldn't accommodate residents with water while it was turned off, even in the summer. This was a big problem for me. They also raised the water bill and would turn on the water to water the rocks—crazy! Let's not forget about all the dog poop that people wouldn't pick up. We didn't even have a pet, but kept walking out of our apartment having to watch out for dog poop. No, I wouldn't personally recommend Alcove at the Islands as a place to live.
