  I used gateway when COVID first started, & was helped by a woman who was very nice & helpful. I sent her my last 3 paystubs & my work history of a little under a year & bam I was qualified that same day. I stopped looking for a home at the time, since I wanted to have more money saved for a down payment. I lost her contact info & used another bank. It didn’t work out. Finally decided to use gateway again, because of the good experience I had with the previous gal. I couldn’t remember her info so I chose to use Marcus at the Fayetteville location since it’s closer to home. He’ll tell you everything you want to hear at first. I felt like he started to get annoyed with me, & then I felt like he was finding excuses to not take my phone calls, & leaving me on read via texts. They ask for excessive income & work history information, using COVID as their reasoning. You won’t get qualified right away. He told me I didn’t get qualified, so now he’s ghosted me. If you haven’t worked somewhere for over a year, you’re going to run into problems. I would think twice about using this mortgage company.

  "All mortgage lenders are the same, right?" Boy was I wrong! I'm so thankful for Leisa and her thorough knowledge of her industry coupled with amazing customer service. She kept me informed and constantly updated via text and email. And she was always accessible and responsive when I had questions. Not to mention, the application process was a breeze, rates were extremely competitive, and administrative fees were honest and transparent. Really grateful for my agent recommending me to Gateway Mortgage after almost getting swindled by a different national company. Literally saved me thousands of dollars. Thanks again, Leisa.
