- CFCled FordNov 7, 20251.0I paid a $925 security deposit when I moved in at Wheeler Estates Apartments. After moving out, they told me I was being charged $671 for “damages,” but they never gave me any explanation or proof of what those damages were. They promised to send me a detailed receipt, but I never received anything. This is very unprofessional and unfair. Be very careful if you plan to rent here — they don’t communicate properly and they might keep your deposit without clear reason.

Very friendly, very on top of things, introducing some really cool stuff that lots of complexes do not have. If it weren’t for them and the clear progress they have already made, my review would be much different. The number one thing that may not apply to everybody but certainly bugged me was how often they come into your unit. Like up to 3 times a month. We didn’t live here much longer after the new people came, so maybe that will change with the better management. I value my privacy so this got super aggravating and made it hard to feel at home. But on the contrary, I never had any bugs here at all which is rare in apartments. All around pretty solid complex! I truly believe the new management will have the place turned around in no time.

But I recently visited as a walk in and there was new staff. The two ladies in the office were very welcoming and professional, and the property itself looks a lot better. Big difference!! My fiance is being transferred to Redstone after the first of the year and we are looking to move outside of Huntsville due to how expensive it is there. The pricing at Wheeler was great, and the unit was very large for the price. We have Wheeler at the top of our list and appreciate the office staff for being so wonderful and patient with all of our questions! Highly recommend!
