The clinic went above and beyond to aid myself and my very ill dog. I wasn't able to fund the visit nor the test and because of what was going on they waived it all and gave me the instructions needed to help him . What followed was a horrible encounter with West Allis Police who didn't believe I was even there and forced an arrest and my dog taken to MADDAC. unfortunately he never received the needed care and past. but the live and generosity from this clinic and the employees was more than enough to make me a fan! #RESTINPARADISE TONKA WE MISS YOU!

Horrible experience. Had no definitive answer for the reason of my dogs health decline. Stated an x-ray should be performed then after coming back stated, an ultrasound would be a better option because the visibility is better. Why wouldnt you do that in the first place? Asked if it was a life or death situation but no one was “sure”. How are you a veterinarian but you aren’t “sure”, but youll be sure if I climb the ladder with a million dollar ticket on my forehead right? Overall NOT a good experience. I got a invoice that the numbers were all messed up on, the 2 ladies at the desk had to go over it numerous times on their calculators to make sure they were screwing me as hard as they could. The “vet” didnt even introduce herself when she came into the room.

I had a very disappointing experience at VCA Milwaukee Emergency Center Greenfield WI. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff showed little engagement or compassion during check-in, barely making eye contact. My dog has an ongoing medical condition that appeared to be worsening, which is why I sought emergency care. After being placed in a room, my dog was taken from me and I waited nearly two hours with no updates or communication. When I returned to the front desk to ask for a status, no information was provided. Eventually, a veterinarian informed me that they had only reviewed my dog’s previous medical records from her primary veterinary. No bloodwork or diagnostic testing was performed. There was no need to separate my dog from me. I was told my dog had been kept in a crate while others were attended to. I was offered only pain medication or digestive medication, without any clear explanation of what might be causing her symptoms. They charged $189 upfront and I left without answers or meaningful care. Overall, the lack of communication, attentiveness, and value for care was very frustrating, especially in an emergency situation.

We came in with our dog who had eaten a bunch of baked ham. We were stressed about what the ham could do to his gut and the risk of pancreatitis. All staff were helpful and compassionate. After examining our dog, the vet decided we didn’t need to induce vomiting, that our dog would be okay without the vomiting. They gave us instructions and sent us home. They didn’t charge us for anything, like the basic exam he had with them. Overall they were timely, kind, helpful. In the past we brought other dogs in and we’ve always had great experiences with them. We highly recommend them.

We have been going to MECA for our cats' emergency needs since 2015. We have other emergency clinics that are closer to us, but the care and attention our fur babies have always received here are worth the extra drive. TBH, we were concerned with the switch to VCA, but we've discovered that the high level of service remains. The entire staff takes the time to listen to our concerns and explain what is going on. Even with some of the more difficult decisions we've had to make over the years, everyone here has been kind and compassionate throughout. As long as we have cats, this will be our emergency clinic.
