Great care and always very professional. Take all my animals here. Unfortunately I had to put my cat down a few years ago. They were so caring and thoughtful throughout the whole experience. Even down the doctor administering the The euthanasia medication very discreetly. We had as much time as we needed to be 100% ready. The doctor was so calm and comforting. She had the medicine hidden in a pocket. When it was time, she administered the medicine in a way that basically hid it from our view. Such a small detail, but a huge deal. About 14 years ago I had to put my sick dog down at a different office. That vet came in a slapped a couple syringes of colored medicine right on the counter next to my dog. Didn't make any effort to do it discreetly. Pretty much just jab the syringes, in administered the medicine and walked out. Never gave my dog any medicine to relax him before the lethal shot. Completely traumatizing. Have had nothing but a good experience with VCA.

Super Expensive. We took our cat in who hasn’t had any issues in 4 years because we assumed he needed deworming. They gave us a dewormer that caused blood in his stool, when we called them back they said it’s not abnormal for the first 48 hours. It stopped and then started up again a couple days later- when I called them back they told me it would be $130 for them to look at him and another $85 to check his stool sample. These lives will not include any treatment whatsoever but that’s the starting price to just find out why the dewormer they gave him has these effects and of course additional cost for any treatment afterwards. At this point not only are we scared to take him back here but scared of taking him to any vet, worried they’ll keep our poor guy sick as long as we keep paying. He has been dewormed by a different clinic before and has never had any issues with other dewormer btw.

3.5 stars I would have given five stars until my dog was given a 16 mg pill of Apoquel that was labeled on the bottle as a 3.6 mg pill. He took the larger dosage (more than 4x the normal and geared for a 60-80 lb dog vs his weight of 18 lbs) for 4.5 days and now four days after stopped taking it, still has diarrhea and is not acting 💯 like himself. While mistakes happen, we are all human, given that the rates here are much more expensive than other places and there seems to be enough staff, I am disappointed there are not more checks and balances when giving medicine. They were able to promptly give him blood tests and an exam after it was determined he was overdosed and also showed me it would cost around $1000. I asked to please ensure I would not be charged for any of that and they did not charge me for that and were able to reimburse me for the poison control case that was opened. The front staff is very friendly and compassionate as were all the doctors my dog saw while a patient here for a couple of years. Dr. Hicks was especially empathetic and kind to my dog. If you do become a patient here, always double check the medicine and if a pill looks larger than usual, question it ASAP. I regret that I thought the pill might be a generic or have a new look and blindly trusted..

All of the staff were great from the front desk, the tech, the vet. The atmosphere is nice. I did use the free 1st exam coupon. I agreed to vaccinate my cat since he was due. thats where they make up for the free exam. His fvrcp and rabies booster came to $144 I agreed even though I knew that was really really steep for 2 vaccines. I'm hoping to have a good relationship with them for care he may need in the future, but that pricing is definitely going to stick with me.
