I took my baby in to be spayed here because the price seemed reasonable and the reception area seemed very nice and modern. Like a hospital. I was assured when I picked her up that evening that I could call anytime day or night and someone would be there. When I got her home I saw that the wound had completely opened up. Not bleeding but still a big open wound. I called but got a receptionist who told me no one was there, she couldn't do anything, and to call back in the morning. I taped up the wound and watched all night. The next morning I went to see my vet at mountain west exotics, who saw me immediately, and stitched her up properly. A reasonable vet bill turned out to put my pet at risk, caused me a sleepless night, and cost an extra $300 for emergency services. I'll never go back to any VCA. I should have done more research because it turns out they're a just another large corporate entity whos primary focus is marketing and profit.

Without that surgery, Nixon wouldn’t have had the quality of life he enjoyed in his final year. We are so grateful for Dr. Barney’s skill, compassion, and dedication.
