Prior to me going into this Cricket Wireless I called and asked "Do you guys have the IPhone 17 Pro Max in stock" the women on the phone says "Yes, we do" so I go into the store as one does, the women asks "are you making payment" I respond "No" she later asks "Are you buying a phone" I respond yes and go up to the desk after the woman was done dealing with the other 2 customers. She asks what phone we are looking for, to which I respond "The Iphone 17 Pro Max" she goes to the back and she grabs an iphone 17 pro (at the time she said it was the Pro Max), we go through the process of buying it, she asks for my number, I give it to her, we pay, as we are going through this process she says atleast 4 times "iphone 17 pro max" She unboxes it to set it up and she says something like "I have the 15 pro max and this ones a little smaller" to which I respond out of fear "are you sure that is the Iphone 17 Pro Max" she says "yes", looks at the back of the box and says "Yes it is", I look at the back of the box and read "IPhone 17 PRO" to which I then say "This is the pro, not the pro max" after we had already paid. She sold us the wrong phone. As we are going through the refund process, she asks for my number again and I give it to her, then she quickly realizes she moved the E-sim over to the wrong phone number. So not only did she sell us the wrong phone, blissfully unaware of what she was doing or talking about, she also put the E-sim on the wrong phone number, so if I did go through and get the phone, it would've never had service! Thankfully I did not. The whole experience was horrible, the women made an embarrassment out of Cricket, excused herself by saying she has only worked there 2 weeks, like that is going to make the situation better. Management needs to step it up instead of letting people work freely, with very little training, after 2 weeks. Clearly she didn't know what she was doing, not even what phone she was selling. So many mistakes in such a short amount of time, while spending $1200. Absolutely bizarre, how could you work somewhere and have no clue what phone you are actually selling to people. How could you work for a service company and make a mistake as big as moving the E-sim to the wrong phone number. Genuinely the worst experience i've ever had buying a phone. Completely embarrassing for the company, these companies need to have higher standards for their employees and management. Please pull it together Cricket.
