I have 11 cats and also foster, so veterinary care is not something I take lightly. At one point, I enrolled in this clinic’s “Care Club” program because I was afraid of being left without care if one of my cats became sick. Unfortunately, that program ended up costing more than two car payments and felt far more like a sales tactic than a patient-care plan.
I brought one of my senior cats in because he was not eating and could barely walk. My husband was told by the veterinarian that bloodwork was not due and that running it would be very expensive. Two days later, knowing my cat was declining rapidly, I called to ask for high-calorie food and casually asked the receptionist when his last bloodwork had been done—because I did not recall him ever having it. I was told he had never had bloodwork performed at all.
At that point, I brought him back in and demanded to see a different doctor. Bloodwork was finally done, and it showed that my cat was diabetic and actively declining. Had this been caught earlier, he may not have reached such a critical state. The lack of urgency and inconsistent information very nearly cost my cat his life.
Despite this experience, I remained on the Care Club while searching for a new clinic. Recently, I called to see if I could use the remaining services I had already paid for—specifically an x-ray and bloodwork. I was then told my elderly, weak cat must be sedated for the x-ray. This cat can barely walk. There was no clear medical justification given—only an added cost.
After everything that has happened, this felt less like medical necessity and more like another attempt to upsell services. I am beyond disappointed.
All 11 of my cats have now been transferred to Bryan Animal Clinic, despite it being a 1.5-hour drive. They genuinely care about animals, are transparent, and many of their veterinarians are affiliated with Texas A&M. The difference in quality of care is night and day. They far exceed VCA in every way.
If I am able to get my cat his final x-ray and bloodwork—services I already paid for—without unnecessary sedation and added costs, I will be shocked. After nearly losing my cat due to delayed diagnosis, being pressured into sedation feels unacceptable.
This experience has been heartbreaking, stressful, and completely avoidable.

Really nice to you and your pet. Patient and sencerly kind. The cost is a bit high but definitely worth it if you can afford. Very clean and not crowded at all. They are very professional and friendly and attentive. I had the get their financial plan to be able to afford it, it is a monthly plan that pretty much covers everything. I hope this helps.

Came in as a walk in close to closing. My dog had a odd bump on her forehead. They got us back right away. They did all the things. She got lots of love from them. The doctor gave her 3 meds and she has a follow up appointment soon. They didn't do any unnecessary tests. We weren't even there for an hour. Everyone was so friendly. We recommend this place if you have to bring your baby to the doctor. You won't be disappointed.
