I cannot thank VCA Oso Creek enough for taking care of my sweet Nola girl to the very end. She was my everything.
We first came to VCA for a second opinion after her primary vet misdiagnosed cancer in two of her paws. The team thoroughly evaluated her, completed x-rays, and confirmed it was arthritis. From that moment on, I knew we were in the right place.
A little over a month ago, we returned due to fluid in her abdomen. We were told it was likely a ruptured tumor and possibly aggressive cancer. They gave us the time and space to make an incredibly difficult decision. Dr. Vaughn was extremely thorough and honest. He performed her surgery and removed what he could. She stayed a few nights, and the doctors called daily with updates. The vet techs were always kind when I called or came to visit.
Her pathology came back as Hemangiosarcoma — an aggressive cancer. We were told we may only have a month or two. She gave me two beautiful weeks, and I will always be grateful for that time.
When it was time to say goodbye, they handled everything with compassion and dignity. They truly cared about Nola and about me.
A very special thank you to Dr. Vaughn, Dr. Mircovich, Amanda, Ashley, Becca, Stephanie, Chelsea, Leilani, Sadie, and anyone else who cared for my girl and who were kind to me through this. You are all so appreciated.
I highly recommend VCA Oso Creek. They are something special — and I truly believe they knew Nola was something special too.
I couldn’t have asked for a more caring staff at VCA OSO Creek Animal Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. Doctor Carie Allred and her staff were extremely professional, courteous kind and knowledgeable. I came in around 4:10 AM with a kitten in duress. I was greeted by receptionist Selena and Itzayana who immediately took my kitten from me and brought in a room to give it oxygen and stabilize it. I told Selena that she was a true angel and that VCA animal Hospital or fortunate to have her and her wonderful coworkers.
Dr. Allred then came to see me and explained to me the symptoms that my kitten had and then prescribed the medication for me to use at home. One of her assistance came out to show me how to administer the medication. She was so kind and patient .
I also want to thank Fred and Melanie as well for everything they did. Please let Dr. Allred and her staff know how much I appreciated what they all did. They are a wonderful team of professionals! May God bless you all and your families.

I'm very pleased with this emergency clinic. Staff is helpful and kind. Yes, there's a wait, but that's to be expected. Patients receive triage care and are rushed back if it's something truly urgent (bleeding, seizures, breathing issues, etc). Prices were very reasonable (I've been to several emergency vets in the past, and this was lower than any of them). The doctor and tech were fantastic and took their time with my little Daphne. My concerns were addressed without trying to rush us out even though they were busy. Records were super easy to download online to email to the specialist and regular vet. Obviously, I hope not to need an emergency clinic, but I will definitely return if needed.

I had the most horrid experience at Oso. My 11yr old boxer had a tumor rupture and was rushed in to stop the bleeding. They cauterized the arteries and sent us home on a Thursday to come back Monday to do a surgery to remove the remaining tumor. He was sent home with NO PAIN MEDS and I had to call back up there and tell them to prescribe him pain meds at least until the surgery. Thursday night the cauterized area became infected and Friday I rushed him back up there and he had to be put down.
I made it VERY CLEAR that my intentions were to bring my dogs remains home to the vet tech/assistant who walked me through the process and directed me which box to check for remains/paw prints. I asked her twice how long the process took and when I’d hear back/get back the remains. She told me I would hear back from them in two weeks. About 2.5weeks later I showed up and mentioned I hadn’t heard from them yet, only to be told I would be getting no remains and no paw print because I selected the ‘Communal Cremation’ option with no paw prints, for which I paid $465 for. WHO PAYS THAT MUCH TO NOT BRING THEIR BABY HOME!! I understand I physically checked the box, but the tech walked me through everything and said ‘this is the option for you to have remains and a paw print’. And there is no phone call for when a communal cremation is complete, so again, she should’ve realized her mistake. I then went back to Oso to tell her what she did, and she was ‘at lunch’ when I showed up; a receptionist told me he would leave her my number and have her call me, and no one ever called me. Clearly there is no care for your loved one at this place, and I HIGHLY recommend going absolutely anywhere else. Losing your pet is traumatic enough, not being able to bring them home after, due to a careless mistake, exacerbated this already traumatizing experience.

This is my first ever review so this says something about this place. Worst experience of my life, I would not recommend coming here and would go to the next 24 hour clinic closest. My dog had a gash on his hind leg and I had bandaged it the best I could but it was still bleeding. When I get there, they take my dog to the back then proceed to tell me that I can’t see him or be with him while we are waiting for a room. So for 3 1/2 hours, I was waiting patiently for any updates about my dog and still could not see him. The person at the very front named “ANGEL” has a terrible attitude and talks to you like you’re dumb, tells me that “it’s just like a normal hospital where you have to wait for a room.” It’s funny she says this because I work in one and I don’t remember the last time I separated a family from the patient. They also wanted to give my dog pain medication and I asked why and “ANGEL” says “for the pain?” thank you for the non clarification but my dog was never in pain when I brought him in so it doesn’t make sense. After 3 hours, I finally get called to a room and still can’t see my dog for another 20 mins and when he comes in, he has a cone on and is covered in saliva from him barking because he was scared. I know my dog and I know how he reacts in unfamiliar places so it’s sad to know that as much as I wanted to check on him, they wouldn’t let me. That’s not even the last of it, they finally come in and tell me they want to keep him overnight and want to do surgery on his foot? This place is sketchy and would not trust leaving my dog here over night if I had to ask for my dog to be checked on throughout the 3 hours I was there. FINAL THOUGHTS: This place is sketchy; the fact I can’t see my dog is crazy to me; and ANGEL needs fix her attitude and have more sympathy, I hope she never get treated the way she treated me
