Went in for a locked iPad I couldn’t get in which is on my apple account. The guy literally said nobody on the face of the planet could help me. Called Verizon in Dayton and they said Best Buy could help. So I now have my iPad unlocked no thanks to them. I have a problem every single time I go into this store. Avoid

1. This verizon location in Hixson is only capable of swiping your credit card.
2. I bought a brand new iPhone and they shipped it to the wrong address and were unwilling to help me find a solution. I am now out $1500 and no iPhone in possession.
3. The person who claims to be “manager” is a middle aged Caucasian male with an untrimmed beard, an untucked shirt, and took no ownership to making the situation right. Of note, Verizon allocates their corporate locations stipends to help their customers in situations like these, but he was unwilling to use it (to likely just preserve his bonus).

I paid cash for a new phone for my son, we both specifically told the sales person we were there to buy the phone and were keeping our existing plan. He felt it was okay to check some boxes which increased our bill. Best not to sign electronically where boxes can be checked by sales people. Really upsets me

Sarcastic apathetic attitude is waiting on you to open the door and walk in. It's so freaking negative. I'm always made to feel like I'm bothering them whenever we go in for any reason. Just pick a different store. Thankfully not all Verizon stores are this way.

Avoid this store at all costs. Extremely shady business practices. I went in on 9/19 the morning of the iphone 17 launch to upgrade as I do every year. It was a nightmare right when the doors opened. I was first in line but somehow was the last person to be assisted.
When I finally was assisted my sales associate was scattered brain and all over the place. I gave him the benefit of doubt and wrote it off as it was early in the morning and we all have our days. I told him numerous times what phone I wanted only for him to continue to get that wrong until he got it right. Then he started trying to push promos, I told him I wasn’t interested and that I was only there to return my current phone and upgrade as I do every year.
He then asked me about purchasing accessories for my new phone such as case, screen protector, etc. I told him I wasn’t interested and once again I was only there to upgrade. Once he realized he wasn't gonna be making a dime off me for commission or kickback that’s when everything got weird and he just vanished in the back room and left me standing on the sales floor for over 35 mins.
After standing there for what seemed like eternity another associate finally came out from the back and approached me and told me “soooo the only way you can get the new phone today is if you add a line” I immediately knew he was full of it and asked him since when is that a thing, I’ve been upgrading every year for 14 years and thats never been a thing. His reply was “its not us, its verizon pushing it due to high demand for the phones” blah blah more lies.
Me being ready to blow a fuse at this point and needing to get to work I agree to add the forced line so I can get my phone and get outta that place.
I wasn’t done with them yet tho. My wife made a post on reddit explaining my story and experience and it blew up and caught so much traction that verizon themselves entered the chat and initiated a private chat with us that led to them calling me. I explained the entire situation and how the rep at this store basically held my new phone hostage and forced me to add a new line. The verizon rep on the phone was blown away by their practices and said I DIDN’T HAVE TO DO ANY OF THAT TO UPGRADE!! All they had to do was take my old phone and give me my new one. Which I already knew the Hixson reps were full of it.
She was also confused as to why they even tried it to begin with when I’m a 14 yr customer with a history of upgrading every year. She reversed everything the Hixson store did with my account and cancelled the line they forced me to add. Also gave me a case number and said she would be following up with me in a couple weeks and removing any charges to my bill caused by these store reps. I will never do business at this location again!!
