- JHJacob HoukSep 24, 20231.0Just don’t bother going in. I went in yesterday to trade my old IPhone 11 in for a new 15 Pro. The guy at the desk a few days earlier had told me that they’d have a demo for the 15 that I could look at prior to signing with them. So I go in expecting to pay the taxes for the phone. I asked him if he could tell me what my plan would be for this phone. He just picked random numbers out of his head. Then told me that there is a $40 fee for transferring over all my stuff from my old phone to the new one. Then on top of that he was charging me an activation fee. Which I was told couldn’t be waived. Since when is the value of a phone still valued at face value when a trade is made that you’re getting a $1000 rebate on? That’s a rip off in it of itself. Value is based off what a customer is willing to pay. Which because I’m trading you my phone. You should lower the tax for the phone since I’m not paying the full face value.
