- PSPaige SloanNov 5, 20255.0Been having some heart issues. The VA was giving me the go round. After being in and out of the ER with the same heart issues I was seeing the VA for, ER Dr McClay referred me to see Monte Combs. Monte has been nothing but professional and gone above and beyond. From sending out referrals, to doing any and every lab that he can possibly think of, to ordering scans and extra testing. He is phenomenal. I have nothing but great things to say about him and his nurses.
- DHDestiny HabekottJun 27, 20251.0We saw Monty Combs and was very happy with our initial visit. NOTHING afterwards was impressive. There was ZERO follow through with anything. I've had to make callback after callback to get things sent to the insurance companies, referrals sent to other doctors, medications sent to the pharmacy. ( they are still sending medications to a pharmacy in a different town, and every time I refill something, the pharmacies have to communicate because the doctor's office won't send it to the right pharmacy) One of our issues was communication between two different doctors' offices for authorization to get back onto a medication..., it took me two weeks of chasing down both offices to get it worked out.. Nobody else bothered to wonder why a patient kept calling back to say that the doctor hadn't received paperwork they sent. They actually got irritated with me for calling to check on it. Turns out, that doctor's office was using the wrong fax number. This is something I had to ask about, and I had to figure out. Ever since I started seeing this doctor's office at the beginning of this year, it has been nothing but stressful. They all seem nice enough to your face or on the phone, but they just treat you like someone that's at the checkout line in walmart. As soon as you leave their sight, they never think of you again. Whoever's administration up there does not take their job seriously. If it weren't for me being on the phone multiple times a week, trying to chase down multiple issues- absolutely nothing would get done. We would go without medications, we wouldn't have gotten referrals to other doctors that we needed, and we would have been completely forgotten about. My latest issue is that the doctor's office has stopped answering my phone calls and returning my voicemails. I've gone nearly 2 weeks of trying to get a response. I had to call one of the are there offices in the clinic, tell them what was going on to get Monty's nurse to give us a call back. As soon as I am able to get a prescription for this medication that i've been needing to get since February, i'm changing doctor.s... I'm a patient person and I don't like getting ugly with people.... but this place is an absolute joke. There either lazy or incompetent. Both of which are completely unacceptable in this line of work.
