We brought our dog to thus clinic Sunday night bc he was having seizures...He was kept overnight and he was picked up around 11:00. You would think that the dr at the clinic would have given him a full exam, check ears, eyes, nose, bloodwork??? And follow up with regular vet???? None if that was done and the dog has an ear infection... 1,300.00 later...Ridiculous!

My concern is not simply the outcome, but the lack of transparency surrounding my dog’s care. I brought her in for a post-op, X-ray of the right hind leg, yet her left hind leg was X-rayed without my knowledge or informed consent. The final X-ray showed a cruciate ligament tear in the left leg which was not disclosed to me. There was no such injury present or documented prior to this visit. My dog’s inability to bear weight on her leg led me to review her records, which is how I learned of the torn ligament. My dog went into this appointment walking normally and left unable to bear weight on a leg that was not the reason for the visit. Months later, she has a permanent limp, remains on ongoing pain medication, has developed gastrointestinal complications, and will require surgery to address the injury. I am sharing this so other pet parents understand the importance of asking detailed questions and advocating strongly for transparency, even during routine visits.

We brought our dog in who was at an end of life stage on New Years Day He was very sick with bladder cancer and we were just looking to see if the hospital could make him comfortable. While the techs were helpful and caring the lead Dr Kaplan was not very empathetic and unable to catherize him to extract urine to alleviate pressure on his bladder. Once we were told that, all we wanted was our dog back (and my wife kept repeating that request) however she continued to harangue us reciting the ramifications of not euthanizing him as soon as possible. We felt she was trying to convince us to do it now. She threatened not to provide palliative med unless we signed the AMA. We refused to sign it but they eventually gave us the meds anyway. We were in search of a sympathetic ear and comfort, and instead we received a litany of medical jargon to make us feel guilty.

Took my 15 year old dog in on New Years Day as an emergency visit to help make my dog with bladder cancer comfortable until I could see my primary vet the next day. Dr. Gillian Kaplan was extremely condescending towards me and would not sign off on a pain med for my dying dog unless I signed an AMA. I refused to sign but was eventually given the med to take home with my dog. Not a great way to start 2026. TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE My husband, Paul and I appreciate your response and taking our concerns seriously. Given the set of circumstances and our negative experience we would appreciate a full refund of $335. Thank you Received a call from Carrie a Supervisor at Katonah Bedford Animal Hospital today, Thursday, January 8th. Carrie was professional and understanding , and reviewed the details with the hospital staff. Carrie had already processed a refund for services rendered on New Year’s Day which was greatly appreciated.
