I took lessons from the worst person I have ever seen in my life. He was always tense and did his best to bring me down. Then he said, "One lesson is not enough for you." He got out of the car and said "Good luck." He slammed the door and left. I wish success to those who are going to learn more. I would never take lessons from this man.

I had a great experience with Southern Tier Driving School! I heard about them from a friend who also had a good experience with them. They communicated quickly with me and I was able to have my first lesson within a week of contacting them. They also had the flexibility to schedule me frequently on almost a weekly basis. While I had a lot of nervousness going into driving, Valerie was fantastic as an instructor and kept the mood light while also being very professional and informative. While others' experience with driving will vary, I was impressed with how smooth the learning process was despite having no experience prior. I definitely recommend this company!

I've have dealt with southern tier driving soon on and off for the last maybe 5 years or less. I had my first lesson with this driving school and honestly couldn't drive. It was my first time ever really behind the wheel. I had a lesson here and there since then. But wasn't until last year that I took it serious. I went for the five hour course a second time on April 2, 2016. Prior to that I had my permit since 2007 I know not sure why I waited so long to get my license. Anyways long story short. This company is easy to get ahold of but there is only two people that do the driving lessons. One guy that does the Binghamton area and another guy named Warren that does the Elmira Corning area. He is hard to get ahold of that's for sure. It could be weeks before he would return your call or text. I am not sure what is going on as to why he doesn't respond in a timely manner. I've taken the road test four times. I passed on the fourth time on March 9, 2017. I honestly wanted to get my license so I didn't have to pay for another driving lesson. I used to pay $55 a lesson. It gets costly but for an hour it was up there. I'm just glad I don't have to pay anymore and I appreciate Warren teaching me how to drive. I have truly come along way that's for sure. I enjoy driving and to be able to get myself and family from point A to point B is awesome. No more walking or taking the bus or cabs. I have my own car now and just greatful. I do recommend this company for lessons as I was taught by them. But it's hard to get a call back or text. But if you have patience I say go for it. I understand life happens but a text or a call back would be appreciated. I took a total of five lessons last year and two lesson this year. I only practice with Warren the instructor as I didn't have anyone else that could teach me the right way. I want to say I had a total of maybe seven or eight lessons told since I've known about this school. It's all about having confidence and trying not to let your nerves get the best of you. Once that happens you should be fine and comfortable with driving. You will definitely get the hang of it for sure. I did and so can you. And to leave you with this. Warren got on my last nerves at time. The day of my last road test March 9, 2017 I wanted to pull over and get out and leave him on the other side of town. He ticked me off so bad I didn't want to do the road test that day. But he said to me your going to the road test. I'm so glad I did cause I got a really nice laid back gentleman and I passed my fourth time around. So Amen to that. Don't give up. You've got this๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฟ

I called to schedule my son driving lessons, as they will come to the house and pick him up. The lady I spoke to was very kind, and said the instructor would call me back. I waited 4 days and then called back, and she said he is slow at returning his calls. I asked if there was a direct number that I could reach him at, and she said no. She said that there were several people in line to be called ahead of me so not to really expect a phone call ASAP. That was almost 6 weeks ago, and I still have not received a return call. Called Baxter's Driving School after hanging up, and got a lesson the same week. Really glad I didn't wait around. Not returning phone calls is a really bad way to run a business...............sorry, Southern Tier Driving School.
