I bought two IPhone 17 pro max on Nov 12/25 and returned our old phones and the new protection plan was set up on them but on the returned phones the protection plan had not been cancelled as per my understanding when I asked if they would be cancelling it and was told yes. I now found out after 4 payment came out for the two phones I don’t own and have returned. I was told by geek squad that I was supposed to cancel it but I was not informed of that so now I was told by geek squad to go into the store and cancel it to get my money back which I will be going to do today but I also want my money back from them in total of 4 payment for both phones. That is a lot of money to just throw away for nothing. If I don’t get anywhere with the store I will have to contact the manager for a refund. The girl that took care of me that day did a great job friendly and smiled and the only thing she didn’t inform me about was this issue. Dani

waited over an hour at this location only to find out the phone deals advertised online are not what they appear to be. The signage and website make it look like you can pair any phone with the heavily promoted $35/100GB plan that Bell, Rogers, and TELUS are all advertising right now. In reality, that plan is BYOD only, which is never stated clearly anywhere. Once you finally sit down with a rep, you’re told the only way to get the advertised phone pricing or gift card is to sign up for a much more expensive plan. Even worse, the “keep” price shown online isn’t a flat rate. The rep explained it actually changes depending on how expensive the plan is, meaning cheaper plans result in a higher device cost. None of this is disclosed upfront by Best Buy or the carriers. This is a textbook bait and switch. The entire phone selling model here relies on fine print and conditions that aren’t communicated until you’ve already invested your time. Extremely frustrating experience and a complete waste of an afternoon. Best Buy and the Big 3 carriers need to be far more transparent about how these phone deals actually work. Waited in line for nothing!

Went in to pickup an online order, since the reno's there is too many lines leading to the one desk, its a little confusing who gets where, the guy at the "Online Order Pickup Desk" was actually doing returns, but we talked him into processing my pickup. As well, the quantity for one of the items that I purchased online was not behind the desk, so the customer service representative had to run in the store and grab the other item, kind of unprofessional that no one checked the quantity to make sure what I ordered is what was gathered.

Despite clearly requesting a 40GB plan, they selected 100GB in the system, then changed it days later without my consent and charged me $37.73 for their own mistake. This caused serious billing and payment problems and put me under a lot of stress. This is the second horrible experience I’ve had at this location. Completely unacceptable.

I have literally had the worst experience getting a phone here on Black Friday after I lost my phone and needed to replace it. I went in and wanted to stay with Koodo, as I talked to Koodo prior to going in and was told that my bonus would be waived if I stayed with Koodo. Upon going in after saying I wanted to stay with Koodo the man “helping” me, said that switching me to Telus would be cheaper and asked me why I wasn’t interested in other providers/switching. I told him I needed to stay with Koodo, that the bonus fee would be waived and that if I switched I would have to pay more than double ($249 vs $585) and that it should be in my Koodo account. He looked at my account and told me that because Telus and Koodo are owned by the same company that even if I switched to Telus I wouldn’t have to pay the bonus penalty and that that waived fee would stay waived. So I agreed to switch. He quoted me 60+ tax for the plan and 12.50+ tax for the phone, on a monthly basis for 24 months. Plus the $249 fee. Total cost would be $1999 for the phone over 24 months + $249 fee for ending my contract early with the bonus fee waived = $2248 total. Said it was a great deal and reassured me it was the cheapest and best option. Then I get all my bills. Telus bill - My phone is actually 27.50 a month, he messed up the plan. Admitted to mixing up two deals. Reassured me that even though I’m paying more than double what I was quoted for the phone over the next two years that it was “still the cheapest option” Koodo bill - $585. Because turns out that he lied or just gave me incorrect information and by switching to Telus the bonus didn’t get waived - what I was afraid of, and exactly what he assured me wouldn’t happen - I don’t even know where I’m going to pull that extra money from now. I went from thinking I’d be paying $1999 over 24 months + an initial fee of $249. Totalling $2248 To actually now having to pay paying $2415 over 24 months + an initial fee of $585 Totalling $3000 You read that right. I will be paying $3000 for my new phone when this is all said and done. $3000 for a “good deal” that will “save me money”. I should have just gone to apple and bought a new phone - which if he had not given me all the wrong information is what I would have done. I am out HUNDREDS up front, and am now stuck paying more than double monthly than what I was quoted. Go anywhere else for a new phone, my experience and the service after has been horrific and I have no idea where I’m going to come up with the money to pay for their mistakes that I am now stuck with.
