    If you want to stand around waiting forever for cell phones & not be acknowledged after 20 minutes this is the place to be. Can’t say horrible service because I didn’t get any freaking service!

    This location at Halifax make you feel that you are doing them a favour of purchasing from Best Buy . Poor customer service right from entering to exiting the place. I will not even visit this place again. I wish could rate them “0”

    My daughter and I dropped into Bayers Lake Best Buy. The young man greeted us and apologized for the renovations happening. Sam was his name. He immediately aided us in getting exactly what we wanted. Helped in decision making and giving us pros and cons of various items. His honestly was sooo appreciated. No pressure at all. Due to his excellent knowledge we bought the item. He immediately took us to Geek squad I believe the name was Kevin?. Again so knowlege and helpful. Sam deserves a great deal of credit for his patience, great personality and such an asset to the shoppers experience. Well done and thank you Sam!

    Special shout out to Sam and Kevin for exceptional customer service and who completely changed my view of Best Buy. I came in today to purchase a new laptop. I came in skeptical not wanting to talk too much to sales people as in the past have found best buy sales people extremely rude, pushy, and even sexist or demeaning at times for me as a women ( years ago) I had some bad experiences that made me walk out completely and I was fully prepared to try to minimize my interactions with staff this time. Today, as soon as I walked in we were greated by Sam who let us know he could help but he stayed available but not crowding. He read the room and let us have space....and then during a span of 5 minutes at least 3 other people tried to help me .While I get could be kind, to me felt very overwhelming and pushy....yet saw 2 other people unserved for about 10 minutes. I walked out to be honest. Within an hour after checking other stores which are more hands off until asked ( thanks staples) I came back knowing best buy deals are just better. Within seconds 2 people came again and I felt anxious again being asked a lot of questions. While they are probably so helpful it just was a bit too much for me and I felt like I wanted to leave again but then saw the first person Sam and asked to work with him again. I am grateful I did. Sam completely changed my opinion of Best Buy and so did Kevin which I will get to as well. Sam was respectful in being available and attentive if needed but not swarming as others did which made me want to leave or feel anxious. He natrually could tell when to step back to met me do some thinking and when to remain present. He answeree all of my questions patiently, honestly and clearly. I didn't feel pressure or upsale tactics but he did provide available options around deals for both higher and lower end devices helping me to make an informed decession. I leaned towards one then another and he remained neutral and supportive, patient as I still weighed what I needed. He offered some guiding questions to help me decide but never provided a conclusion like " you should buy that". Eventually I decide to purchase a laptop and he continued to offer excellent service the entire process. He helped make a stressful purchase I had avoided for a year feel seemless. He never made me feel rushed and helped ensure the purchase process was as positive. Sams natural people skills, warmth and respect allowed for some humour also which made us all smile. He treated both my mom and I with genuine respect, care kindness, patience and genuine human connection- just just a tic on a box. He made us both feel more relaxed and the experience became a positive and fun time. Sam then connected us with Kevin at geek squad who helped get everything set up immediately which was a priority for me. He was professional, kind, polite and deeply respectful. He made the process extremely smooth and also he never made us feel rushed. They both remained present from start to finish which felt like exceptional customer service. Mom and I both left not just happy about a laptop purchase but talking mostly about the amazing staff Sam and Kevin. Thank you to Sam and Kevin for changing my view on Best Buy and a deep gratitude for your superior ability to connect with customers and support and empower them to make choices best for them without pressure or feeling rushed. Your natural ability to know when space is needed, when offering help is useful and when to offer suggestions or remaining neutral is best. These skills honestly make you exceptional at your work. But it was also your friendly , kind and fun personalities which made the whole experience fun. I will be a returning customer for sure.
