My dog had something stuck in his mouth from chewing a stick that we couldn't find while examining him at home. We were a walk-in and waited for about an hour to be seen. They were able to quickly locate and pull a small piece of wood stuck behind one of his molars, and said not to worry about payment since it was such a quick job.

I couldn’t be more grateful for Dr. Faulkner and every single clinician we had the privilege of being cared for at VCA.
Our silly pittie blew out his CCL after repeated injuries from rough housing. He had the TPLO 7/8/25, which did require a high degree of post-op care and accountability to prevent re-injury. The first month was extremely difficult for our dog but by 7 weeks it became apparent we’d done the right thing.
He does things now, 6 months out, that he could never do even before his injury, like jump up on his hind legs. At 8 years old he’s more a puppy than he’s ever been.
Thank you guys so much for restoring our baby’s quality of life 🐕 he’s back to playing with his neighborhood pals and it’s a real delight 🥹💗

This review is specific to VCA's emergency care such as it is.
I took my dog to VCA's emergency care on a Sunday around 5:30 pm after it was attacked by a large pit bull mix. My dog suffered some large lacerations and was bleeding. Upon arrival, there was one person in front of me and one person waiting in the wait room. After I checked in and completed the paperwork, at least four other people arrived with their pets. Apparently, all of these animals were suffering a more severe medical emergency than mine because they were all seen relatively quickly after check-in. After waiting 45 min or so, I asked the desk representative, when might my dog be seen as he was bleeding. The desk representative indicated she didn't know as there were now at least four other pets in front of mine. I asked if he would be seen before closing at 9 pm and, if not, would we be "kicked out". She indicated that she didn't know if he would be seen and, yes, their policy is to not provide any service if the pet hasn't been seen by closing time, even if the pet has been waiting for some time.
After an hour or so of waiting, a vet tech came out to do a cursory exam of my dog. She also indicated that she didn't know if my dog would be seen before closing time and, if not, we would have to leave without receiving any medical attention. Needless to say, we left rather than waiting another couple of hours just to likely be told that they couldn't see him because it was closing time.
I understand the importance of providing medical attention to those pets in greatest needed, i.e. triage, but if a large corporate-for-profit entity such as VCA is advertising that they provide emergency care and services, then they should have sufficient staff to provide such services. Clearly, they don't have sufficient staff to provide timely emergency care. And the policy of having a pet waiting for emergency treatment and if none is rendered by closing time, out the door they go is unacceptable.
I would not recommend VCA for any emergency services nor any type of treatment. Do your pet and yourself a favor and find a vet service that cares about helping your pet in an emergency. That's not VCA.

I WISH I could put 0 stars OMG. Extremely just mean, rude, disrespectful, and unhelpful reception staff. Making faces, attitude, etc. I was immediately treated very differently once I mentioned I am a low income college student. Very strange environment just in vibes. VERY over priced by HUNDREDS. Horrible service, horribly disrespectful receptionists, and unhelpful staff that just want your money. I never even got answers for my sick pet. GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE FOR UR PET PLEASE.
