- JTJo TOct 16, 20251.0My wife and I have had multiple bad experiences with this animal hospital, one of which was pretty serious. Our experience is about care *and* fees. Their fees are exorbitant (they charged us $40 to cut our cat's nails) and they will quote their fee(s) every time you are brought into an exam room before you get the chance to see a vet. They have also initiated a 90 day office visit policy. If your last office visit was more than 90 days ago, they will charge you $$ more for the visit. They are very expensive, to say the least. It's hard to believe all of the positive reviews.

To see if I could make an appointment today. The receptionist informed me that she would need to speak with the doctor, who would then have to approve it, and after that, I would be required to pay a fee. I told her that’s fine, but she came back and told me they can’t accommodate me calling back tomorrow or Saturday, as they’re completely booked. The receptionist was nothing but rude and disrespectful to me. I would never step foot in Ocean County Veterinary Hospital group ever again. Don’t ever go to this vet again; they should be ashamed of themselves.
