    Went in cause phone was acting up, they told me I needed a new one, I declined all add ons, 2 mo later my bill is $202.00, #PMT customers service told me he added hot spot and $20.00/ mo insurance, Portsmouth Verizon are crooks !!! I switched to t-mobile, I actually have service now !!!

    10/2 Thanks for your reply but way too late, the entire store needs a HUGE refresher on customer service and accountability. It's obvious whomever is in charge of this store has completely given up and doesn't care anymore which is really sad. Looking at all complaints notice they only say "thanks for your feedback" with no resolution or apology. I wish I could give 0 stars. Inside is more like an outhouse with 1 desk and 5 people standing around doing nothing. As soon as you walk in someone with a tablet will come over and tell you if your concern is worthy of waiting for an agent or not. Same thing happened to everyone who came after me. Audibly nasty to an elderly couple trying to ask questions about their upgrade. It seems like they had every possible excuse ready to NOT help anyone with a plethora of nasty declines in their repertoire. Will be "making the switch" to TMobile as soon as this is resolved!

    It seems Verizon is steadily destroying itself, starting with poor cellular coverage, at least in our area (Seacoast NH); customers getting fed up and changing carriers (T-Mobile has been a great move for me personally); then instantly cutting those former (longtime) customers off from access to their online account information (app and web), making it next to impossible to obtain billing records for tax purposes and phone payoff credits from the new carrier; long wait times and misinformed customer service reps when calling the Verizon toll-free number; and - most disappointing - rude, unprofessional, unhelpful associates when you finally get so frustrated that you drive to one of their corporate storefronts for help. That’s exactly what happened to me at the Portsmouth (Woodbury Ave) location. The employee I interacted with (Heidi) was defensive and snarky from the get-go, for no apparent reason. She gave me conflicting information from what the Verizon toll-free number representative told me on at least three issues. When I explained that I had been told otherwise by the Verizon toll-free number representative, the store employee basically said, “Ok, so what?” Verizon employees, in general, seem not to care at all about losing customers due to poor coverage issue, but - also - they treated me so poorly that, should Verizon ever improve their coverage, I am so disheartened by how the customer service reps (phone) and the employees at the Portsmouth (Woodbury Ave) store treated me after 15+ years of customer loyalty, I will not give Verizon a second chance, if not for any other reason than to never have to interact with the Portsmouth (Woodbury Ave) employees again. To make matters worse, the person I interacted with was the Assistant Store Manager, who should be setting a positive example for the employees around her; but she instead reinforced the fact that, at Verizon, apparently employees can disrespect customers without any consequences. Maybe she, Edward (the Store Manager), and Verizon’s higher-ups will learn that customers may tolerate subpar cellular coverage for a while, but - when you add rude and unhelpful customer service to the mix, at the local store (which should be a place of assistance and maybe even an opportunity for the local employees to make things right) - customers will leave and your chances of ever getting them back will plummet. As the employee next door at T-Mobile said, “I’m sorry for what you’ve been through. I was just telling my manager today, ‘It’s like Verizon is handing us new customers on a silver platter.’” Indeed they are, especially the folks at the Portsmouth (Woodbury Ave) location.
