Employees were rude, unhelpful, and condescending. I would drive 20 miles farther to the next Verizon store.

Caden was the best!! His customer skills are awesome and he was able to solve my issue after nearly 2 weeks. I was ready to close my account but he stepped in and made the difference. What an asset to your company!!!

Last November (2024) I took advantage of an offer at this store. I have been a customer of Verizon and its processors since cell phones, bag phones in fact, were invented. The offer was to transfer a preexisting line to Verizon and receive a free phone, a $5 increase in my Verizon bill, and a $200 gift card. I still have the note the Verizon store employee wrote me regarding the gift card. The gift card never arrived. I called Verizon and the representative attempted to assist me but ultimately had to open a ticket to research the matter. After several weeks, I received notification that the ticket had been closed although I never was told the result. After waiting a few weeks to see if the gift card would be sent by mail or credited to my account, I went back to the store to inquire because neither a card was received nor credit was applied. The store employee told me that I could not be helped in person even though I was sold this offer in the same store. He said I would have to call a Verizon representative which I have already done.
It has become apparent to me that Verizon no longer values their customers (at least me), even legacy ones, as they once did. The few times I have requested service by phone, text, and in person, over the last 30+ years I was always thanked for being a long-term customer. It was a nice recognition in addition to typical good service. My experience over the last ten months has taught me that I am no longer valued as a legacy or any other type customer. I think everyone should receive outstanding service; the extra acknowledgement was nice. Now at Verizon, my long-time standing is not acknowledged and is certainly not leverage for basic service delivery.
It pains me to say it is time for me to shop other carriers because I can no longer recommend this store, or Verizon in general, based on this experience. All customers should be valued and provided better service than this. Not honoring the terms of the offer is unforgivable. Not appreciating my loyalty to Verizon is disappointing.
UPDATE: Verizon responded by providing a case number and asking me to complete a form at a link that was in their review response. I did as they asked on September 19, 2025. Now it is October 3 and I have not received an acknowledgment of my submission, no resolution by providing the missing credit, nor a denial of my request to issue the credit I was sold as a package when I transferred a Spectrum phone to Verizon. Just no response. Their inaction and indifference proves that the experiences I detailed in my initial review continues. Verizon told me I would receive a $200 gift card or credit in November 2024 and they did not deliver. As detailed above, I opened a case that was ultimately closed without a credit or explanation. Then as witnessed by anyone who reads Google reviews, I was asked to take my time to complete another form, which I did, and again no response, acknowledgment, reply, or resolution. Folks, it does not get any more unprofessional than that in my view. Verizon aparently has no regard for me as a customer. It was not always that way over my three decades as a customer, but it is now. That was their last opportunity to retain my business, and opportunity that they have not earned in the first place.
I strongly recommend existing customers explore other carrier options and potential customers to not choose Verizon based on this incredibly inept display of customer service ability and overall disappointing experience.
