I just got my bill for the month and they in fact charged me for the old phone. The gentleman and woman (who was being trained) who helped me were flirting essentially the whole time I was needing assistance. I am extremely upset because I asked multiple times to confirm that Verizon would be buying out the phone and I would NOT have to pay the balance. The gentleman said multiple times “yes that is correct. Because you are upgrading early, the promotion includes paying off your old phone.” Now I have a $200+ phone bill.
