I went in here because I was trying to find a company that had service at my home address. I had already tried 2 other companies and had to return phones so when I went in and inquired about their return policy specifically before I signed up for service and bought 2 new phones, I was told by the associate that I could return it for a full refund within 7 days. The previous company I tried had a problem refunding the activation fee, but ended up getting it done, so I again specifically asked about the activation fee and the service plan to which again I was told that it would be refunded as long as I brought the phones back within 7 days. This is what I wanted to hear, so I bought 2 new phones, cases and set up service with Cricket.
When I arrived at my home I could not even get 1 bar of service outside of my home, which I was able to do with the other companies and of course no bars inside my home, same as the others. It was too late in the day to return them that night, so I was planning to return them the following morning, a Sunday, but this particular store is closed on Sundays. I ended up bringing them back the very next day of business for them on Monday. 2 days after I bought them and this is where they get their 1 star.
The person who actually sold me the phones and told me about the return policy was there, but it was another associate who jumped in to handle my return. To which she said I would not get a full refund, that I would not be refunded the activation fees for either phone, the fee for the first months service and they would also not accept the cases that I would have no use for. In total they refunded half of my money.
It wasn't until I escalated the matter to corporate, filed a complaint with the BBB and disputed the charge with my credit card company that I was finally refunded the rest of the money they tried to STEAL from me. In the end I did get ALL of my money back, with a lot of aggravation. But I will NEVER EVER use Cricket Wireless again and I will always recommend people to stay away from them as well.
They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life and being in an occupation that relies on excellent customer service myself, it is the MOST IMPORTANT thing I consider when dealing with any business.
