Was told I could keep the # for future use if I ever needed a new line. This was supposed to be at no charge. Seemed unnecessary to go through this step just to replace a broken phone, but I was told it was the only way I could get my phone replaced for free. I got the newest Samsung for taxes+fees, a screen saver and case which cost $380. They tossed in a free charger. Was never presented a receipt of any kind. Fast forward a month, now being charged $300+ for a new line (for the new # they insisted i have to have at no charge on a phone that no longer works), new fees and insurance which I have declined and keep declining every time I ever walk in the store and continually keep calling in to remove from my plan. Had 2 of my kids get their phones upgraded after several years of use the month after, same drama...insurance and unknown fees on the bill when declined all extras. Waiting for more unknown fees in the next billing cycle to discover. I called Verizon, they insist I go back to the same store to fix. Absolutely refused to do so. I insisted they refund the $ ...just so happens they can do that over the phone, even after they said they couldn't. Waiting to see the refund. It's not the individual store in Hugo, it's every Verizon store and Verizon's direction to their satellite stores as a company. T-Mobile, At&t, Sprint Etc same story. They continually use slight of hand in hopes you won't catch it or complain about it so they profit even more than they already do for their lackluster services. Check your bill frequently!!!!!!!! They are all hoping you don't notice.
