- BLBri LynNov 12, 20251.0We took our dogs here 2 weeks ago as a new client and to get shots. A couple days later one of our dogs started having issues breathing and was constantly sneezing. This vet was not interested in calling us back quickly or getting him back in for an apt. Took him somewhere else and he has kennel cough. Cannot confirm how he got kennel cough but he hasn’t been out of the house or has been in contact with an another dog since being at this vet. I would not recommend this vet.

This June I took my Dog, Miller for his Lyme booster And the staff failed to administer it to him. I did not find out until the next time I was trying to schedule an appointment. So he had to restart the entire series. It made him sick. This Wednesday, I went to the animal hospital after several months of expressing my concerns about my pets behavior. They told me that he likely has an infection and they prescribed him anti-inflammatories and antibiotics. They did not give me the right instructions, and they did not give me the right quantity of the antibiotic. I went back to the hospital to get the correct quantity and they were closed. They do not have any updated hours on their website or on Google. He was not able to finish his antibiotic series. I don’t know if it’s the new staff, but they have just been absolutely terrible recently. This makes me very sad because I have been driving half an hour after graduating college because I used to love this place. Until they get themselves together, avoid this place like the plague.

They gave two rounds of antibiotics to try to avoid amputation, but eventually my girl had her tail amputated. The surgery went great, and the staff has been so helpful this entire time. I find comfort trusting VCA for my pets’ health. The pricing is average, I’d say.
