I visited the Westminster, MD store today at the Crossroad Square shopping center and was assisted by Stephanie. I want to express my sincere thanks for her patience, friendliness and vigilance. I had an issue with service on a number that became complicated, and Stephanie not only resolved it, but she made the experience pleasant. She had a positive attitude the entire time, despite the hurdles she had to go through to resolve my issue. Thank you Stephanie!

Verizon had door-to-door solicitors in my neighborhood a few weeks ago. The only service I want/need in my house from any provider is internet. As a military vet, the Verizon employee told me if I switched my service to them (5g home internet) I would qualify for a military veterans discount. This would have cut my current Comcast bill in half. I thought this was a great deal. I set up my account on the app and verified my military status, but was unable to claim the discount, odd, I thought. So I began the process that everyone reading this probably has been through before. The hours long game of phone tag being passed between different departments with Verizon's customer 'service.' The service rep on the phone told me that the only way I could get the military discount was if I also switched my mobile phone over to Verizon as well, and that they weren't sure/didn't believe the sales rep didn't mention this to me at the door. I was explicit with the sales rep, the only thing I wanted was their internet service. So, they either lied to me (bait and switch) or they were improperly trained. In both instances, not my fault. The phone customer service rep told me that the router/modem they were sending would need to be signed for, and to just refuse the package for it to automatically be sent back and that I wouldn't be charged anything. Another lie, or someone else who was trained improperly. The device was delivered to my home with no signature required. So now I had to go through the less annoying than the phone tag debacle of preparing the return myself. Not much of an issue as I live very close to a return location. To top off the incompetence of this entire scenario, Verizon charged me an annoying amount of $7.74. I thought to myself "Whatever, I'll just pay it and be done with these fraudsters." Well, it can't be that simple can it? Since I had already "deactivated" my service (which was never activated in my home in the first place) I was no longer able to log into my account to pay said bill, and had to wait weeks for the paper form to arrive in the mail to have access to my full account number. Verizon, I will never consider you again in the future. You bait-and-switching, nickle-and-diming gnats.
