- BKBrian KortyNov 3, 20255.0Great experience with Capitol Chimney. Needed someone to basically replace my chimney. Have a prefab fireplace with a steel pipe that rises to the roof level. It sits on a platform mounted on the outside of the house several feet from ground level and is surrounded by a wood structure to resemble a chimney that matches the house's wood siding and rises about 25 feet. In my case water had gotten into the chimney over the years and had rotted away the platform and the joists which extended from the house to support it. It was difficult to find anyone that had the experience and manpower to do the job but Capitol Chimney assured me they had done this before and in the end were the only ones to summit a reasonable bid. The structure was replaced and a new firebox was installed that fit the brick mantle on the inside of the house. Primary work took about five days, and then a short wait of a few days so a stainless steel cap especially made to fit the chimney was installed. All people involved were friendly, professional, and trustworthy. Couldn't ask for a better outcome.
