We took our newest family fur member to VCA Lewis Animal Hospital at the Columbia,MD. location. Dr. Watts did an amazing job. Dr.Watts really took her time to thoroughly examine out fur baby, just like a pediatrician would examine a newborn baby. Our fur baby was socialable and trusted everyone there. All the staff loved our fur baby too. It was definitely well worth our 30+ min drive to get there. We will be a returning client.

My baby girl Lucy, my adorable cat suddenly got an open infection somehow and I was able to get a last minute same day appointment. I was so scared. They were absolutely great about getting to the bottom of it and gave meds. Because the first visit was free to be seen it was a great help (meds not free, just the visit) and she's doing great. Lucy was well taken care of. I'll go back. They gave great advice in how to get her to lose weight too.

We are established patients and I called to get an appointment for our dog who 1) has symptoms of a severe ear infection and 2) is not putting weight on front paws and 3) is 100% not himself and miserable. Was told the soonest we could be seen was SEVEN DAYS LATER. Can't imagine how they think that is an OK time frame :(

IF I COULD MARK NO STAR AS AN OPTION I WOULD. Our 8MONTH OLD dog Rileigh was in VCA Lewis on 5/22/17 to be spayed, she was just put to sleep this morning because her incision opened and her insides fell out. When my parents called to get emergency assistance from VCA Lewis they were told to take her to the pet ER that was closest. We were also told that in order for her to be saved by VCA Lewis my parents needed to come up with $4000.00 to $6000.00 due at the time to fix her. They were unwilling to do payment arrangements or even to bill none the less fix whatever had ruptured ,Meanwhile VCA Lewis is were she had her surgery to begin with on 5/22/17. But because the Animal Advocates voucher does not cover the surgery our Rileigh now needed to keep here alive there was nothing else that could be done for her.
The ER vet explained that their cost is the same and there was no guarantee that our Rileigh would still survive. With a very heavy heart we then deduced that the best and only decision we could make, was to allow for the ER vet to put her down. BROKEN HEARTEDLY
I wonder if we didn't use Funding to have our Rileigh spayed she would still be here with us.
