    Wanted to start a new account, but we are not the account holders currently. Told us we needed to call customer service. Spent over an hour and still didn’t get anything sorted. Did some googling and turns out you can easily do it through the app, they just weren’t informed on their own resources. Then sat in the store for 30 more minutes to be helped with an upgrade. Once they checked us in, we waited even longer for them to tell us they had no inventory. Called a different location and were helped immediately on the phone. Recommend going to a different location for sure.

    I called Verizon in February 2025 to ask for rates on a new service. I was shopping around and called several different providers that day. The rep for Verizon asked for my address so they could give me a quote for my area. This seemed like a legit request. I made it plain that day to every provider company that I talked to that I was just shopping for prices. Two days later I received a IPhone 16 in the mail which was part of the current promotion. I DID NOT order this phone or set up an account with Verizon. When I tried to return it to my local store, they could not help me because they did not have an account in my name, because I did not open one. And something else to keep in mind, no other carrier sent me a phone just because I contacted them. I made numerous attempts to return this phone, with no help at all. Several months later I received an invoice with a bill for over $700. I thought this would help when I went back into the store because it had an account number. But no, they still couldn’t take it back because I still didn’t have an existing wireless account. BECAUSE I DIDNT OPEN ONE! After countless phone calls ( which by the way only go to call centers in another country) and 4 trips to my local Verizon store and 1 drive (35 minute away) to a corporate store I still cannot return this phone ( btw has never been opened). Now I have been turned over to a collection agency for over $700, which I can’t pay. I am almost 70 and on a fixed income. What a nightmare this is. I work in Customer Service and I can say without a doubt that there is no Customer Support here . At what point does this stop being whatever kind of issue that you think it is, and become a Customer Service Issue ? Take care of it like a Customer Service Problem. I will go out of my way to let everyone I know hear about this issue and your lack of understanding.
