Shout out to Rick at the Grape Rd Verizon store! If you want to get scammed, he’s the guy to see! Came in last month to pay off a phone and a watch to upgrade. Everything was going smooth. Got shown some papers and told to sign on the dotted line. Only a month later I find that I did not pay my watch off, because he assumed since I couldn’t trade in my old phone that I wanted to keep it connected and even added a third line on my account. A third line I did NOT authorize. Somehow I paid off the remaining balance of my wife’s phone instead? So now I have a third line, a smartwatch that I can’t use because it’s a different OS and STILL have to pay off. I made an appointment twice to speak with him thinking this would get resolved since he added stuff that I didn’t approve. You got me Verizon. Shame on me. Lesson learned. With the smugness that only a rat could muster, he informed me that since my old paid off phone was not on the account for more than 60 days that it wouldn’t qualify to be traded in towards the watch that I INITIALLY came in to pay off. He almost had a smile as he said it, like he knew he got me. So, now over $2300 later, I have four devices including a watch I can’t use and three lines. Was simply told that in order to get rid of the third line I had to pay off the watch. No apology for not explaining things when he was quick to get my signature, no accountability for adding a line I didn’t approve of, just a firm stance that there’s nothing anyone else can do. I thought that by going to a different Verizon store that I’d have a better experience. This just proves that the problem isn’t the location, it’s the Verizon experience itself. And also I am partly to blame. I should have not trusted so easily and asked more questions. I should have known better that going in and specifically explaining what I wanted to be done wasn’t going to go the way I expected. Maybe next time I’ll talk to the sales reps like little kids since they obviously do whatever they want and get away with it with no accountability for their shady practices. To anyone thinking about switching or starting a plan with Verizon, let my story be a warning. With enough time, you too will be screwed over and politely told there isn’t anything that can done about it.

What an absolute frustrating experience. Yes, it was quick...Is that a good thing, or a bad thing? It all depends. I don't recall the ladies name who helped my wife and I upgrade, all I do know, is that she did not explain the difference in service plans prior to upgrading, and just showed us a quote on a sheet of paper. Come to find out, we lost many of our perks we had previously had. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Verizon customer service, which was not much help either. Hard to understand the lady at the call center. I requested my old plan back, she informed me its not possible, but could offer me a 1 time, $15.00 credit. Will be looking into AT&T before my return period ends.
