- AHAutumn H5 days ago4.0Was here a year ago and had an absolutely terrible experience Dr was awful, impatient, uncaring and seemed irritated to be there. Came back in recently with a new puppy only because I could get in so quickly. I don't like how they remove your pet from the room to do the exam but Dr Goad was great. She was very thorough. More so than any other exam I've ever had. She explained everything to me. They originally gave me a quote that wasn't do able at the time so they changed the medication to another one which was cheaper so I could actually get it that day. Everyone was friendly, I didn't feel rushed and I didn't feel like they just wanted my money.

Upon arrival, I barely waited to be taken into an examination room. Sabra Coulter treated my dog with love and gentleness. She was very kind and attentive. My dog was taken to the back to be seen by Dr. Kotani. Shortly afterwards, Dr. Kotani came in with a diagnosis. She explained everything in a manner that was easy to understand. Sabra Coulter reviewed the treatment plans with me. She was reassuring and supportive while helping me navigate which plan to follow. I do not have pet insurance, therefore, treatment was expensive (around a few hundred) but it was worth it! I’m thankful they were able to figure out what was wrong and sent me home with medications for my dog.

Staff was so kind and compassionate. I truly hope I never need to use the emergency services again but I am so happy to know they are close by if needed.

I recently had to euthanize my 2 beloved cats (and I was overcome with grief) and their staff were amazing. Thank you 💔 Since my regular vet can’t be scheduled easily, as they are so busy, I’ve relied on VCA Northwood for the past 4 years to “fill in the gaps” when my pets cannot wait to be seen. Highly recommend.
