Never have I seen such ineptitude in a cellular provider to fix an obvious and admitted mistake. Had a company phone for almost 10 years. Kept my old number alive with a local phone company I had been a call center manager at. Moved employers last Thanksgiving so needed a personal phone again. Went to my local Verizon store. Store insisted I needed a temp number until my old was ported when I was happy to wait until port to get phone. When number was ported, a new line was added instead of porting over the temp number so someone could get themselves a comission. This caused me to be charged $500 the first 2 months. After multiple visits to my local store and calling the support line I was able to get some money credited to my account but the $20/month charge for my "free" phone continues almost a year later. Spent an hour last month with the call center where the rep and a supervisor apologized again for the phone charge and credited me that month and assured me it would be fixed and my account proactively credited but here we are with no credit and still being charged. Do better Verizon.

Ok so I’m trying to switch my phone from boost to version and I’ve paid off my phone and everything. Went into the store at 10am didn’t walk out until 1:30. AND PHONE STILL NOT TURNED ON! the guy I talked to was really nice, definitely can’t say anything bad about him. BUT! I got told everything was fine and set up and then I walk out and boom nothing changed and phone still no service! Sat on the phone with customer service for HOURS! H.O.U.R.S!! I’ve talked to so many people and they all told me that they were gonna help me and figure everything out. TWO OF THEM EVEN DISCONNECTED ME! DIDNT HELP ME AT ALL! I’m so frustrated! I wanted to switch to version cause of the good things I’ve heard about them but now i don’t even know what to think about version but just disappointment!! Y’all have serious disappointed me! All these great things I’ve heard is just lies. One of the people I talked to even said cause of all the troubles they were going to have it to where I could upgrade to the iPhone 16 (I have the iPhone 15) and then she rudely disconnects me! And then I was stuck repeating EVERYTHING with someone new for the 10th time! This is just unbelievable and I seriously want something done about this. I’m usually a understand person but oh my lord! This is so stressful and just stupid. I wasted my whole holiday on the phone with Verizon customer service for NOTHING.

I wish I could give ZERO stars. The way I was treated by “Dan” if that’s his real name, and another associate was completely degrading and unacceptable! After having placed a pick up order with the 800 line I drove 30 minutes to pick up my phone case. Arriving 10 minutes before closing I was told I’d have to return the next day (another HOUR round trip) as my order was “pending.” One of the helpful associates, not sure his name, walked over to the display case and asked if it was the right one. While another very kind associate said, “let her have it, we see the order and it will be processed since she’s already been charged.” When I confirmed that it was the correct case he spoke with the “manager” Dan who further denied my request to take the case with me. Again, the payment was already made directly through my Verizon account and yet I was denied the product because their system was slow, antiquated, and inefficient! When I asked to call customer support via Verizon’s 800 number I was threatened with calling the police if I did not leave the store. After leaving empty handed I was able to log a formal complaint with the Verizon customer service 800 number. The service I received at the Pekin Court St location was abysmal and I would encourage everyone to STAY AWAY!!!!
