Daniel Garvey in Omaha was awesome, one of the most upbeat and positive people I've met in a while. He explained everything thoroughly and clearly, along with photos and visual representation and made it a no brainer decision to use Energy Nerds. I now know how important it is to have proper attic insulation and environmental conditions. The install team was excellent, professional and very friendly. I couldn't believe what an instant difference it made to have proper insulation and ventilation in our attic. If you are considering having this type of work done, I highly recommend Energy Nerds!

I had an appointment with Joel on July 22nd to see about insulation between the garage and master bedroom. The appointment was scheduled for 1:00 pm. NO show no call. Not even the courtesy of a text or email to say he was running late or the need to reschedule. Will have to look elsewhere for insulation help. Will never consider them again.

We found their salesman personable and thorough. However we got a second estimate and it was $1000 cheaper than Energy Nerds. We were shocked and obviously went with the competition. It was also a reputable long time business. Get a second estimate!!!

Mike was first rate all the way from beginning to end. His installation crew was efficient and very personable. Communication was great from both Mike and Dustin. I highly recommend this team!

Frequently Asked Questions About Energy Nerds

How much insulation do I need?

In Iowa the United States Department of Energy recommends an R49 minimum which is almost 17 inches deep.

How hot should my attic be in the summer time?

You want your attic temperature to be as close to the outside temperature as possible. If it is more than 15 degrees hotter in your attic than outside, you have a ventilation issue.
