Made an appointment right when they opened the morning of 10/15/25 at Makala Blvd location due to broken phone requiring replacement. They asked me for a photo ID and I gave them a valid photo ID issued by the State of Hawaii. They stated it was not good enough for them, wrote a phone number on a post-it note for me to call, then dismissed me from the store. I was the only customer in the store. Besides the two clerks, there was a manager there who held the door open for me. Did I mention my phone is broken? Drove home and managed to miraculously get ahold of a Verizon representative on the rotary land line I have. They said typically the clerks would help you complete the call onsite to verify your identity especially knowing my phone isn't functioning. This could have been a 5 Star review if I was given any help at all, but I guess they don't make commissions from helping people. Going with another company once my plan expires

When you go in there next time - ask for Jodie or Marissa!

I visited the Verizon store at Kona Commons on June 11, 2025, at 12:30 PM to exchange my phone, less than 30 days after signing up for service. Initially, the customer service rep Marissa was helpful, but due to complications with my phone plan and device, I spent over four frustrating hours in the store. When I sought assistance from the manager on duty—while several employees stood idle—he blamed me for not agreeing to a $30 fee for Marissa’s undivided attention, a service never offered to me, and dismissed my concerns as mere "perception" rather than addressing the issue. As a longtime AT&T customer who switched to Verizon expecting better service, this experience has been disappointing enough that I am strongly considering canceling my service before my 30-day trial ends. I urge Verizon to address this issue and ensure its staff prioritizes problem-solving over deflection and blaming customers.
