We adopted two cats from the Humane Society and took them here to be checked. The staff have all been incredible, Dr. Lee is our favorite. They really seem to care about the well-being of our new additions. It has been easy to get the help we need pretty quickly.

Recently adopted a puppy from the Humane Society and was told to follow up with VCA two weeks after for additional vaccines. Cool, made an appointment online easy peasy, and waited for the day to arrive. However, a few hours before our scheduled appointment with VCA, I received a call from their office that they do not follow Humane Society's recommended vaccine schedule and would not vaccinate my puppy as requested. Super disappointing and frustrating to hear this, particularly as when I pressed them as to why they don't follow the Humane Society's recommendation, they doubled-back saying that if they followed the Humane Society's schedule then my puppy would have to come in every 2 weeks for a vaccine instead of every 4 weeks. Okay, so what? If it's my prerogative to vaccinate my dog every 2 weeks, then so be it. If it's not medically life threatening, then why don't you just do it?! As you can see from this exchange, the staff and vet (Dr. Kimura) are rude and patronizing, and do not see themselves as partners in your dog's care. It's not comforting to put my dog's life in the hands of someone who acts inconvenienced from doing their job. We cancelled our appointment and do not recommend them for your pet's care.

VCA University was amazing! I had a negative experience with VCA in California, and was nervous to try another. But right off the bat the staff was extremely friendly, informative, punctual, and kind. They give new patients a reduced price exam ($25) and gave me and my kitties some free items, such as a small scratched and a litter scoop. A very warm welcome after just moving to the island :)
