It was our last night on vacation and the only 24 hour emergency vet was halfway between our vacation destination and our home. We packed up at about 3:00 AM and headed for the emergency vet. They checked her out and wanted to run $1,400 worth of test. We asked them if it was life-threatening. They said that it wasn't so we decided to go home and take her to VCA in the morning. Dr. Haslam took one look at her and said "She's got cold tail." Saved us $1,300 something and tons of worry.
