I want to give a huge thank you to Khalil at the Monroe Verizon store. He helped me multiple times over the course of a week, and each time was incredibly kind, patient, and professional. Khalil has a very calm and thoughtful way of helping customers. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about the people he’s helping. He took the time to answer every question I had, explained things clearly, and made sure everything was set up perfectly before I left. I never felt rushed or confused, I felt like he was completely focused on making sure I was taken care of to the highest standards. You can tell Khalil takes pride in his work and goes above and beyond to take care of his customers. It’s rare to find that level of patience, attention, and care these days. I had a great experience here, and I left this store happy to be with Verizon and grateful that I came to this location specifically.

Genuinely the best phone service experience I ever had. Khalil was so positive, kind, and helpful and made the experience of trading in my phone so easy and non stressful. He is so engaging with everyone and really makes everyone feel valued and heard. I don’t remember the name of the other employee who was near us, but he was also so kind, nice, and positive. So glad I stopped by this location.

My eSIM deactivated out of nowhere and my phone was SOS only, for four days. I could not re-activate from the phone and Verizon phone support could not help because two factor texts would not come through, so I was told to go to the store. At the store on Wednesday, September 3, the first rep barely looked at me and made a whatever hand gesture when I said I wanted to cancel. He asked for my account PIN, then sent one link without explaining he had to send three separate links before the PIN would work on a blocked eSIM. When I asked if I have to click on each and add my credentials each time, he said do whatever. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing anything wrong.
At that point I asked the person next to him to help. The second rep interrupted repeatedly and then asked why I wanted to cancel, right after I had already explained that I opened another number over the weekend so I could run my business. I also had to sign up for Xfinity internet, so I could use Uber. When I said I had just told him that, he excused himself by saying he was doing too many things and was on his phone, even though he was not talking to anyone.
I was then told I could not cancel unless I paid off my device in full. When I asked where I can see that, he said online on My Verizon. Yes, that was a given that if I want to find something about Verizon, I will have to go online and search My Verizon or go on the app, I wasn’t thinking to search Starbucks.
The reason I asked that is because at that point I didn’t trust I cannot cancel my service, without paying my device in full, I’m yet to check that myself. This type of people are hard to be trusted.
I chose to reactivate instead; they re-enabled my number and we verified it. Immediately after, I was pushed to add a ten dollar business line and told to close my T-Mobile line. That line was not temporary for me. If I did not have to pay off the device today, I would have kept T-Mobile and canceled Verizon. I was also told I must have erased the eSIM, which is not true. The phone was on a desk playing music when it switched to SOS, which I explained 5 times.
The dismissive attitude, lack of clear guidance about the three link PIN process, and the upsell after a service failure were unacceptable. Once my device is paid off, I will be leaving Verizon. Store cameras should show the gesture and the interaction.
