I ended up waiting about 24 minutes while the manager stood in the corner on her phone, occasionally answering questions for her reps. This was frustrating because the entire SIM change took about 2 minutes once a rep finally helped me. The manager could have easily handled this quick task herself instead of making me wait unnecessarily. Being a manager shouldn’t excuse avoiding basic customer service, especially for simple transactions. I work in the same industry and know it’s possible to manage the floor, keep track of the waitlist, and still help customers when needed. Holding an iPad and passing off quick tasks only slows everything down. This kind of behavior not only wastes customers’ time but also takes sales reps away from customers who are actually looking to make purchases. Overall, the experience felt inefficient and avoidable.
