I completed the MA program back in 2016/2017 see review below. Recently I considered coming back to complete the nursing program and was met with confusion and blatant lies from the admissions representative Lourdes. I was told I wouldn’t have to pay for a class and when I asked for it in writing I stopped hearing from the school. The weird dodgy behavior made me stay at my current school. Not much has changed here.

Hello Nurses Background: transportation ( taxi driver for 12 years, truck driver for 6 years) I decided to go to LPN school February 2024. I started in May 2024, I graduated as an LPN in September 2025. I passed all my classes, passed 5 Hesi (Pharm, Fundamental, maternity & Peds, Medsurg, and Capstone). This is one of the best decision I’ve made in my life. It’s a very important steps in my journey through the medical field. It was a tough journey, but my why…, my because…, and the reasons why I went to Gwinnett Institute were very strong. That’s the reason I successfully completed all the requirements to be a Graduate LPN. 1 month after my last Hesi (Medsurg advance) I passed my NCLEX. Hello nurses! The teachers here at Gwinnett helped me to understand the materials we were studying from Doctor Fernandez with A&P, Ms Newhart, famous Ms Mills with Pharm(boy that was hard for me), Nurse Ava G. with Fundamental, dr V with Marternity and Peds, Medsurg 1 with Justin, Medsurg 2 with Ms Mills, Capstone with Justin, clinical teachers fundamental Nurse Sarah, Nurse Quintero, Ms Nasseem, Dr Bob, and ms Christin. All of those teachers at Gwinnett were always available to help, answer any question that I have or my study group have to help us understand better the concept we were working on. Nursing school is not a walk in the park. This decision was a no excuse decision no matter what. I’m always on time. I was present every day there is class. I was so excited about my LPN school journey I arrived every day @0645, even though class started at 0900 sometimes, remember no excuse traffic was bad. And just like any institution hard work pays off it always. Remember no excuses! You are not the first person in your situation. Are you willing to show up for yourself first. I was for myself. Sometime I wanted to drop out, but my why was stronger than me quitting. So I kept going… My classmates encouraged me to keep going. My teachers encouraged me to keep going. Trust me it will get hard. But it feels great now I’m a nurse. I remembered clearly when I called the school ms Chelsea asked me do I have a support system. My answer was yes because I needed a support system to make it. Hello Jose advisor. Thank you to all of the teachers, Nurses at Gwinnett Institute who took the time to try to understand my question and give me a satisfying answer. Hello Dr Fernandez, hello ms Mill, nurse Ava. Thank you for showing up for your students. Thank you for caring. Signing off Samel Romain, LPN

This was a terrible school I was there from 2023-2024 I left because I kept having to repeat classes. I had no motivation to go on and so I left. I still have debt from this school even, though I do not go here anymore and, I was paying when I was there. This is my worst decision in life was even coming to this school. Also the carpets are so old so when it’s hot it smells like pee.

This school has teachers that play with your grade based on how they feel personally about you. Teachers can come late, release early, and have you sitting in a classroom doing absolutely nothing. The minute you have things come up and can’t make it or have to leave early it’s an issue. Sarah don’t need to be a teacher at nobody school. How you tell the class some of y’all won’t ever be nurses? Where you hope for your students at? She allows who she wants to make up test and work. She waits for students not to return off break (because we wasn’t learning anything or doing anything) to make up assignments so they are missed by the ones that don’t come back. Make sure everything is in writing because word of mouth to the teacher means nothing to administrators and the teacher will lie. Never has she had us open these high book they get off Amazon. Talking to higher up is like talking to a 2 year old child. Things be smooth when they get you in the door. After that it’s hard to get help or understanding. How do students have two teachers on their schedule but only one teacher teaching them? The them is over 15 students. How do you grade skills in one day for that many students. It’s up to you to care and get what you need. You pay for teachers to teach you what they want not the book. They want you to repeat classes it’s more money for them. If you thinking about going here run. If you already here i pray for you like i pray for me. I should have listened, but i found out the hard way. Might i add out of almost 40 students only 4 passed the HESI exam…. Shout out to Mr. Justin and Ava is another great teacher as well!!! Sarah only cool if she can talk about her person life and you not check her. Yes I’m a current student and i said what I said. Come when students are outside and ask them how they feel about this school that lost accreditation because students cheated but failed the NCLEX. A’s and B’s and all my class but one because Sarah don’t like me but I Do Not like you neither!!!

It was a pleasure to be assisted by Mrs Chelsea Brown. She went above and beyond to assist me and walk me through the steps of enrollment, even assisting me with personal issues. She’s an extraordinary employee with a heart of gold
