“Where we treat your pets as our own” — that slogan is incredibly misleading. Today around 3:30 PM, my husband found our outside cat laying in our driveway, on her side, screaming, rolling her head around, and clearly in distress. We thought she was dying. I immediately called VCA Animal Hospital in Crawfordville to let them know we were on our way for an emergency exam. I was told they could examine her, but for a diagnosis we’d have to go to Allied. We arrived at 3:50 PM — and the receptionist then told us the doctor would not see her at all. After being told over the phone that she would be examined. Apparently because it was close to 4 PM. When an animal is clearly suffering, turning them away because it’s close to closing time is unacceptable. This clinic has cared for all of our pets, but after today, that ends. Compassion and integrity should not have a clock on them.

My sweet 15 year old snuggle Bunny was at the end of her treatment for pancreatitis, IBD and lymphoma. I called for an appointment and they got me in the same day to say goodbye to my little best friend. Calyn assisted with the information and was so kind. Dr Chalker was the vet and she was so helpful to get us through this painful time. I appreciate you all so much. Couldn’t have ask for better care. Thank you.

The hospital is very clean, pleasant environment. From the moment you walk in you are treated with respect and kindness. The Drs are excellent. I am very glad I chose them for my dog whom I love very much.

Good experience until Veterinarian Faith Hughes was outwardly rude to me in the checkout line. This lady was not even my Vet, and yet she felt compelled to blatantly disrespect me in front of her office staff. Her behavior was NOT professional at all, and I do not plan to return due to her nasty interference with my check-out!
