We have been coming to this store (Cellular Sales in Auburndale) since they opened. We have upgraded our iPhones here for sometime. We were due again .. Thursday, I called the store to see if they had the color and GB iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max in stock we wanted. They had the phone in stock my wife wanted. I was told on the phone the Dark Blue 512GB Pro Max was back ordered and it could be a month but, he would check other stores. As I waited on the phone, he was looking on the computer and was surprised that he found one at the store in South Lakeland but I would need to come in to lock it in. He then said he had an orange in stock .. I told him I didn’t want orange .. he says what if I spray painted it? (I’m sure he was joking) We went to the store, he got the wife’s new phone out and had it ready. He started looking on the computer for my Dark Blue 512GB Pro Max .. said he was not having any luck finding one .. huh? You just told me on the phone you found one in South Lakeland? He said that one was for one of their customers. He said the phone I wanted was back ordered, I said fine .. order it and we’ll just get the wife’s done today .. I can wait. He tried again to sell me an orange one he had in stock .. no thanks, I can wait. Then he said what about silver? I said no thanks, paying this kind of money I’m getting what I want. He said if you put a case on it you won’t even notice the color of the phone .. what?! of course you can! I said again, I can wait a month, no big deal for me .. my current phone works fine. He got the wife’s phone all set up .. then he went to order mine, he said oh! It’s the 256GB that’s back ordered not the 512GB .. I can have it here Saturday … Great! I was getting shipping updates .. they would say it’s coming on Tuesday .. no big deal for me but, you said Saturday? It showed up Monday morning. I did not receive a call from the store that my phone was in so, I go in .. the nice young lady helped us right away .. got my phone and set it up. Our sales person was off Monday .. I guess they were going to wait till he came back in to call .. I don’t know. Got both of our phones all set up, all is good .. until I get an email a few days later wanting me to finish setting up my account for the Assuran Insurance on the phones! … to back up a little .. our sales person while setting up my wife’s phone noticed we did not have insurance and tried to sell us the insurance .. I’ve never purchased the insurance and declined it. Surprise to me it was added without my approval! I called the store, they confirmed I had the insurance on my two phones but had no answer as to why it was added when I declined it. She told me I would have to call 611 to cancel it but, she too tried to talk me into keeping it. I called 611, cancelled the insurance. Never had this experience here before. They tried hard to sell me what was in stock instead of what I wanted, added insurance without my consent. I will say the service was very good! Quick and easy. The people we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. I just feel since we are a bit older, we were taken advantage of by adding insurance thinking we wouldn’t notice .. then trying to sell me a phone I didn’t want .. I’m not a person who gets all giddy over having to have a new phone right now .. I can wait. Again I think he thought I wouldn’t want to wait and would give in to help clear out his stock. Very disappointed in our overall experience this time.

This location is just a sales store. Worst experience and cannot get a problem fixed that they created. They keep telling me to go to a corporate store and to contact tech support. We have spent 10 hours of our time trying to get this issue fixed. Spare yourself the aggregation and drive to the Lakeland Mall location. Would love for the owner to contact me so I can give all of the details.
BTW reached out with this claim number and no supervisor could speak to me. Lady said they would review the call and would call back only if there was any misinformation.
