She failed to check us in and let a later appointment go ahead of us. The techs asked why she didn’t check us in and she acted like she had no idea what happened.

The person who answered booked a same day appt but cautioned me that they might have to send us to the ER if she was too sick. Okay. A few minutes later, the practice manager called back and told me they don’t see sick pets. I was shocked and confused. I asked if they could at least evaluate her. Nope. Fever=sick. What should I do? She suggested I call around and find another vet! She didn’t even offer to check other VCAs. Great advice. Fortunately, I called Fairfax Vet Clinic, which had me bring her in immediately. Turns out she was very sick and was in the hospital for 10 days.
